Those interested in the classic bike scene know that every now and again a bargain can be found but you can guarantee that there will always be stupid priced items around. What is the consistency of the fluid? Could it be an overflow or another fluid? With the steering lock, have you jiggled the steering whilst trying the key?

Hi and welcome to the forum. You would be better off posting your question in the workshop part of the forum. Does the bike have a side stand switch that kills the engine when in gear and the side stand is down? Other than that, has the clutch been reassembled correctly?

The silver, round thing is the condensor. Points have to be "gapped" when the cam is on the peak so when the points are as wide as they can go. The points should arc as they spin. if it has a battery, with the power on and the points closed, open the points with a flat screwdriver, they should arc also like this.
