im not sure if your bike has one, but (and i know that this sounds odd) my suburban did something similar. turned out that it was a bad o2 sensor. it was telling the brain that the engine was running lean when it wasnt. it would adjust fuel for a sec, and find that it was rich. back to lean. etc. br.....br.....br....br....br.....br...... im gonna let the experts here help ya.

practice makes perfect, foamy. but since you are going on the genealogy of a jawa, lets explore the darwinism of the jawa.... eventually, they all look like this:
  19. right now im on a 175, and I love it. its just right for running around town on. eventually i will get a bigger bike, but like ttaskmaster said, learn on a small bike. it also makes taking the test really easy. if you pick up a cheap one, you can unload it when your done. (or give it to the missus) and most important, better to dump/drop/crash an old beater bike than a brand new one. just how would you feel if you went out and bought that brand new vstar and dropped all over the road due to inexperience. (wouldnt give a student driver a Mercedes, now would you?)
  20. it sounds like a jetting issue to me. since jets are one of the responsible components of fuel draw, I think maybe that you have it jetted too small. if your jet isnt letting in enough fuel, it would not have a full range. will it rev past 6k with the clutch in? there are more learned people here than me, so I expect that many here will be able to give you a more detailed explanation.

its been my experience that electrical tape works well for masking around curves.....
  22. I want to get this: Vintage rice burner. Runs on sake' but I cant find any plate surrounds for a motorcycle plate where im at except for ones that look like chain or barbed wire. I once had a chevy caprice station wagon that I put curtains in to make it look like a hearse, my plate surround was: Purgatory Gardens Memorial Park

gas up, bwahahahahaha! I would like to suggest that he put smaller ones on the front than on the back. It really does save on petrol and improve fuel efficiency since you're always facing downhill.

dirty, was that an enduro? the saki? I used to ride on the gas tank, ot at the very front of the seat, holding on to the center bar of the handle bars, while my dad drove. I loved being up front and seeing the speedo and tach move, and it was like i was driving it (in my imagination) until one day we got pulled over. after that i had to pillon the back. it really sucked, I couldnt see anything. and I couldnt reach the foot pegs. my first fike came 7 years later, it was a honda xr75. a few years after that i got a yamaha at100? all i remember of it was that it was street legal, had low front fender, the exhaust was chrome and on the bottom right(?), and the oil tank bubble was on the left. oh and it was green. the oil mixed in the carb. and it did 45 mph with a fresh tune up. the handle bars were more street style. oh, and regretts now, i slipped the drive gear off its spindle, and i didnt know how to fix it (simple now) but as i remember then, i had to remove the flywheel to get to it. since i had not the tools to do that, and i had just gotten my first car, i left it to rot in a friends garage. i spoke to that friend YEARS later and he told me that eventually his little brother tried to strip it for parts, and was stopped. but that eventually it just went to the dump.
