  5. you can use a 550 front end with twin disks and master cylinder. if you don't want to go that route, then a magura will do

    change oil and filter, kick over withour sparkies in to get oil pressure. new battery rebuild the carbs as they will be gunged up (usually) generally service the bike and then it pretty much should be ok. they are simple machines but the camshaft runs in the head as opposed to bearings!! if you go to classics section, there is a sticky with downloads and information. drewps BTW to the forum
  13. I use Millars sport 20w-50 semi synth for classic engines but its £32 for 5 liters I suppose you can use GTX as I'm sure most bikers in the 70's/80's did. The yam service manual says the oil should be "SE" type and of course use Yamalube!!
