Yamaha XS250
the bikes have a dipstick, which is hard to find as NLA there is supposed to be oil in the stator, just put on main stand and only a trickle will come out. for the starter clutch to slip its two things; 1) not enough power/torque to engage the starter pins 2) the pins have worn flat and won't spin out to lock the clutch up. kits can be bought from wemoto or yambits http://yambits.co.uk/xs400-starter-clutch-repair-kit-p-11137.html the 400 is the same as the 250 BTW

Any 79 ish Yam XS250 owners?
get yourself over to xs400.com loads of reading there. the 400 running gear is the same in their respective years . depends on what you want it to do? restore, update or just a runner?

Tdm 900 buying advice
46k is nothing for these machine, peeps do 100k and so long as oil is changed regulary, you should be fine. As said get on Carpe-TDM, lots of advice there and also JBX site http://www.tdm-yamaha.890m.com/index.php who is also a member of Carpe

Squires 2017 2nd and 3rd September
at least you had the best weather yesterday, I had an interesting day; 1 oven blew up on me, the other bank of 2 went down as no power on the cooking island. Luckily we had an electrician on site and it was up and running in an hour and the wedding went well in the end. managed to get out today as the missus was snoring away and woke me up at 6am, so i got me leathers on and did a tour round Lancs. Did about 200 miles; went to devils bridge Kirkby Lonsdale then across to Glasson dock, down to St Annes to watch the kite festival. Southport then Rivvington Barn and home
