does everyone who has a chain link replace every time as per recommended by the chain peeps? I'm always a bit dubious about taking the spring link off and putting it back on, so tend to clean and oil it in situ.

for mikuni carbs try http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/mikuni-carburettors.htm as yamaha don't make the carbs, you don't really need them except for the specs.

72 ft lb for the big nut (no not you!) for the 13mm nut clamp; make sure the arrow under the clamp is facing forward, they are slightly sloped because you tighten the front one up first to 11 -18 lbsft then the rear which there should be a gap left. This acts like a spring keeping the axle and nut in place. I use aero nuts on mine but not really necessary drewps

that's where Mr speedo goes, he's the one that measures your road speed. Mr Tacho might live front top of the cylinder headas its nice and warm there because he likes to sleep comfy. this, BTW is the new members area NOT the workshop moving this thread....
