I have a set for the fz600 and like them. you can get short or long versions. If your having trouble with leverage, Id get the long ones. buy them from aliexpress, way cheaper but takes longer to get here http://www.aliexpress.com/af/fz6-brake-lever.html?ltype=wholesale&d=y&origin=n&isViewCP=y&catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20160229131735&SearchText=fz6+brake+lever

heres the thread on slugging with a link to chopper underground on the subject

cool, you seem to be busy. Like that you have a lathe, I'd love one. So whats the plan with the bike?
-
with the slugs being solid, there will be no "give" in that part of the frame. You may find the frame fracturing where the slug ends inside the tubing. I would still drill the outer frame over the slugs so you can get some weld onto the slug there or you will get movement when the frame flexes
-
hopefully hollow ones. really needs holes drilled and weld filled too onto the slugs

thats because all the wires are the same. in the UK you only need 3, the 4th was for the US perchance of having running daylights. the 4th wire powered a relay when the engine fired up and switched on the lights automatically my rewire thread http://www.xs400.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5934
