£160? bloody hell. just got mine done at Manchester Xtreme for £130 fully built for 2 wheels inc semi stainless spokes! there are two angles for the hub, start with the inside first then the outer part.
  3. no, don't use grit it may embed into the alloy. can you post it to TSR vapour blasters in Southhampton?

nice to see you back you old fart. I pretend to be 50 but inside I'm, a lot less than that! I suppose it the 70's ethos, keep music live, Punk and mega strikes from unions. no-one stands up for themselves anymore, my kids just take what's offered instead of thinking for themselves. I tried to instil some rebellion in them, but they just conform!! grumpy rant over
  7. aircraft stripper is the only effective paint stripper left. Its supposed to be for pro use only, but I'm sure with your tenacity you can get some. I bought some POR strip from Frost restorations, which worked well too.
  8. having extra weight on the rear does make the front more skittish so wind can be an issue, but as you lean forward some weight is transferred to the front balancing it out somewhat. all bikes do vibrate as there is not a lot of metal to absorb it like cars do. the sweet spot is the speed where you ride at, and certain RPM out of that vibration range.
