I am in Belgium for this one The big addition to this year’s festival is the inaugural Northwich Bike Festival. The festival committee, backed by Cheshire West and Chester Council is resolute in wishing to retain the ethos of the now relocated Thundersprint and Saturday at Moss Farm will be a biker’s paradise. Trophies will be awarded to various categories in a huge classic bike show sponsored by Mike Blake of P. E. Blake and Son of Little Leigh. Mike will be showcasing his own collection and will be joined by hundreds of other enthusiasts from across the region. With full camping facilities available a complete sell out is a certainty for the Saturday music bill when both Cheeky Monkey and Beaver will rock the night away.T

bought tyres today, Heidenau thingies, German make so should be good. fitted them tonight and the front was a bitch to fit and my fingers were knackered, the rear was dead easy and it just popped on! Now I can weld on the front mudguard brackets and work out how to fab a tie bracket for the TLS brake.

it became tedious setting it up. the engine is like a hair-dryer, useful but not interesting. cycle parts are just panels that you screw together on a tiddly frame. everything's plastic
