Mods and Rockers
They must use archive footage (obviously) this is what's said online Series 14 Episode 1 of 7 Duration: 1 hour A trip back to the days when 'style wars' were just that - violent confrontations about the clothes you wore. Spring 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the bank holiday 'battles of the beaches', when hundreds of mods and rockers flocked to seaside resorts on scooters and motorbikes in search of thrills and spills. Timeshift tells the story of how this led to violence, arrests and widespread concern about the state of British youth. But mods and rockers had more in common than was first obvious - they were the first generation of baby boomers to reach their teenage years at a time when greater prosperity and wider freedoms were transforming what it meant to be young.

Velocette owners Club open day
wasn't too sure this was on today,so took a chance as I was only a few miles from Astley Green Colliery. Turns out that there were a few Velos there and other bikes. Had a mooch round and I would recommend a visit if you have never been before this huge beast was in a shed at the back of the grounds, Eccles built Gardner engine and to top it off, I got 2nd prize for non-Velo bike(didn't even know there was any) nice Birthday pressie

Fz600 Gulf
back on this, thinking the blue/yellow wire maybe a feed rather than an earth to the TCI? have posted on the XJ forum and see what they say. the Yellow/blue is from the safety cutout switches (neutral and sidestand) but goes into the diode pack where it gets all skewed and I can't tell what does what with all the diodes and relays etc inside

ouch, taken out today!
Met Dave today and a cracking bloke. I mentioned your name John, then he kicked me out swearing and muttering under his breath about tight scotch git or something. Dave did the gpz600 in last months Practical sports bike mag and his work is amazing. Loads of 2 smokes in there, lots of suzis GT 250, 550, 500. A nearly finished KH750 and TS on the bench and also what looks like a TL125 honda, but was a rare 2 stroke model.(anyone know what its called?) didn't want to leave, but had to let the man work
