  1. hi everyone. been having some overheating issues with my DT, its running a cone style air filter, BigOne exhaust, racing reeds and a 60cc bore kit on the original 50cc head, increased the oil pump flow rate and the carb is running a 115# main jet, but over long distances (well, anything much over 15-20 miles or running for more than 30 minutes/1 hour) the power will suddenly fade and eventually the engine cuts, it doesnt seise but the heat can be felt (and smelt) when you are sat on the bike. whats causing it to overheat and how can i fix the problem?, regards Steve-o
  2. thats such a nice bike, im sure that big front fairing will make a bit warmer in winter... ... if only i had the cash to bid
  3. trusty thrusty pocket rocket let you down eh? happy to report mine has been reliable as ever
  4. i would think that most of them are bots, or members who haven't signed in to post yet... still, nice to know your promoting the club... maybe try doing it on another site aswell?
  5. you sure it was the right pad?, when i bought mine they had a few dozen to choose form at £10 a pop, and it fits my little 50 absolutely fine http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/produ...amp;kw=tank+pad ive got the "Model Front"
  6. i got mine for £10 from busters, "Keiti Additions" specifically a R125 one you want?, i bought a blue one to match the colour of my bike, and because it has tits on it, and when you're my age having a nekkid chick on your fuel tank adds so much to your streetcred
  7. maybe ask specifically for that part?, perhaps at a scrap yard?. worst comes to worse buy a trashed engine or bike, scavenge what you need and sell it on for scrap
  8. Oooooh, Goff is gonna nail you to the wall boyo... *puts a collander over his head and dives behind a table*
  9. ive been walking to school for the last week or so due to lack of petrol money, but today after i got home i just had to give the DT a blast through the green lanes, it was already on reserve so now it must be running on vapour this is proper riding, this
  10. theres a difference to it being original, and being functional its a very nice example of a DT and no doubt will give you years of faithfull service My little DT has lots of aftermarket parts, most of them just to make it more comfortable/easy to ride.
  11. Blimey, my 350 is 149kg , usually with a good yank on the handles you can get it on the stand
  12. you must fear for your safety, he sees' all, he KNOWS ALL!
  13. Reminds me, I thought you lot were going to find me a biker babe after Goff found out i was a bit too young? I'd let it go if you find me a set of Jawa 640 forks instead . i found 'Zukis to be a bit tall for my liking, why not take her to a bike showroom and try out a few different styles/makes to see what suits her best?, also make sure she can get it off/on the centrestand by herself.
  14. wouldnt have thought it was worth it, the MT-03 is only rated as 44hp from the factory so if you have kept it stock there isnt going to be any significant change. atleast you will get a nice certificate to prove that its only 44hp though, so if you get pulled by the plod and need to prove it is still "restricted" you can provide proof
  15. if your getting spark then put some petrol in 'er and get it going! , can't imagine your neighbours will be pleased though considering it has no silencer... best of luck
  16. awwh, aint she lucky to have a nice bloke like you? why dont you just tell her to passher test so she can play on your MT-03
  17. you've never ridden a DT then... shades are FTW, even at 40mph it hurts when the midges decide to divebomb you, bumblebees are funny when they hit the visor though, big orange smear and a loud "THUMP" ouldnt like to hit one with the visor open though
  18. carefull OG, if you pump it up too much it may float awaaaaaayyyyyy!
  19. false alarm... just a few early-starters methink... of coarse, for me its been tit monday since october!
  20. despite the abuse and mockings i got for buying my Jawa, the ol' slovak hog has grown on me, insurance at 17 is around £110 TP for a 350 (albeit not a very powerful one), so can't really fault it, and it doesnt matter as much if/when you throw it down the road there is method in my madness (picture unrelated) whatever she gets make sure its a good'un, ride safe
  21. spent the day at my dads working on the bikes. got the Jawa out, tripped the front brake system, cleaned it all out and put it back together, extended the stand on the DT so it doesnt lean over as far now. was very nice weather, hopefully we have more of it and less wind (ooh er...)
  22. "Any hand out there got the 10-13?" "theres a smokey playing in the hay up ahead, back it down out there." "we've got a cleanshot bubbas, lay the hammer down." and various other remarks...
  23. Hey goff, dont s'pose i could come along with my Jawa eh? , the more the merrier
  24. i say it a'fore and i say it again, car drivers, f*cking wankers can't wait to hop onto my trusty thrusty 350
