MOTORCYCLES THROUGH THE AGES BIKE SHOW
Feck that, with Goff out of the question ive nothing left to live for ... besides, i wont be bothering with any of that vintage green dinosaur crap, ride the jawa for a couple of years, throw it down the road a few times, then straight onto a CBR900 'Blade ... then promptly a trip to hospital with a fencepost through my eye

Wow, i want one of these!
patience, Jim... ive gotta do a bit of recon first, make a note of when he leaves the house and for how long... when the carers tuck him in for his afternoon nap, what time they close the home and what time his bedtime is, then i can calculate an adequate window of time wherein i can infultrate the garage and liberate the DT... ... ive been watching too many films, i know...

Problems starting a hot bike
sounds like it is running lean if you need to use the choke, check the jets are not blocked and check the mixture by looking at the spark plug electrode (should look like an overcooked cornflake)

Can Anyone Help
possibly a dodgey CDI unit, as far as im aware the only way to test it is to swap it for a known good unit and see if the misfires stop

Jawa electrics
hmm, any chance of relating those voltage tests to the wiring diagram? im kinda lost theres sweet f/a coming off the genny from the rotor (well, about .15 volt last time i checked on the brushes) so where do i stick the multimeter to check for a no load voltage? (sarcastic replies will be ignored)

Jawa electrics
i have many-a-time considered dousing this cursed jawa in petrol and setting fire to it, but now that ive got the brakes and hopefully the forks sorted, that would be silly. if worst comes to worst i will put a car battery in a topbox and run it from that and charge it every week

dont get me started on the power rangers again... i was the blue one and my mate on the yellow suzuki RMX50 was the yellow power ranger, everyone at school used to know us as "the power rangers!"

-
Jawa electrics
yes i have been using several, had a standard DC meter monitoring the battery voltage and a fancy auto-range multimeter checking the AC current from the genny to the regulator, think i was getting a very small voltage (talking 0.5 volt) of field charge but will check again when i am next over there, which will probably be sunday

Royal Star ignition
possibly a dry solder joint?, could even be a case of something as simple as water in the electrics, i had a similar problem on my DT where none of the electrics would work (indicators, neutral light, e.t.c) but the engine would still run, it seems to have sorted itself out now ive been covering it up at night may be worth having a look at the connections on the ignition switch
