oh okay, will pick up some 10/40w after payday, air filter looks fairly new, but im ordering a new one just for the sake of a fiver. how do i go about clearing the blocked breather and how do i know which one is blocked? -Steve

filter was ordered last night, got a gallon of 5/30w semi synth in the car, will it stop pissing itself after i change the oil and filter?, the oil was last changed a couple of months ago

okay cheers for the input, im planning to ride it 130 miles back to newbury in a fortnight, have it MOTd and tax it, then leave it at my house so i can just move all my kit in the car when i go from cosford to benson. i just dont want it to piss all its oil away and seize up on the way back. someone suggested to me it could be an oil gallery blockage or something, seeing as the oil coming from the drain is black and oil-coloured

hi everyone. got back today and dusted off the XJ, had to jump start it but runs sweet now, drove it around a bit no problem and the clutch seems to have freed off a bit now. however, i parked it up and there was oil pissing out of one of the drain pipes (its a drain connected to the airbox inbetween the filter and carbs. there also seems to be a creamy white liquid in the airbox (oil+water), what is the cause of this and how can i fix it? sods law... first i have a bike and no licence, now i have a licence and a broken bike -Steve

Hey peeps, been away for a while but now returning to the world of bikes (hopefully!) bought myself an '89 XJ600 back in february some time with the intention of taking my test in the summer and riding it from wolverhampton to Newbury at the weekends, but i screwed up on my mod 2 o currently dont have a full licence. have noticed that the clutch is sticking now, when the bike is in neutral with the clutch in and i put it into first the back wheel will rotate, sometimes if i jab the back brake it will free up the clutch and stop spinning, but what is causing it and how do i fix it? if it makes a difference i changed the oil and there was only about half a litre in it, it has now been replenished to the correct 2.2L but the problem persists any input appreciated Steve

its not just bikes, when i crashed my car at the beginning of this month i saw no less than three cars go past me until one young lad stopped to see if i was okay (and its not as if i was hidden, the lights of the car were just visible over the bank) although one lady did later return to say she didnt know what to do so she called the police and drove on

my bad OG. didnt keep any details from the new keeper suplement, and bike was sold privately so no trace of sale

i bought my little DT with just under 22k on it... sold it with over 10k more on it... want it back now... ah the memories...

hurting much, want her back... surely there is some way i can use the registration to get the new owners info?... ideas anyone? :/
