  1. You ain't getting laid for the rest of the year then, are you?
  2. Check the owners manual. It'll probably mention riding at 1/2 throttle for X miles, them 3/4 throttle for X more, or something like that. Follow that advice while breaking in and then re-examine how it's going.
  3. Possibly a bit too much oil in the sump.
  4. I just swapped the bulb. That was well over a year ago, I think, and I've not had a problem to date.
  5. Really? No MOT? Wow.... didn't know that. Errrr...... fuses....... Maybe...... Don't know. I didn't, but that doesn't mean anything
  6. If is says that, then no it's not legal. TBH I don't know. But I do see plenty of cars with FECKIN' BRIGHT headlights, so you might just need to swap the bulbs out once a year for MOT.
  7. Aye, me too. I have three - A small 25L one for daily stuff, a 65L one which I never intended to buy anyway and a massive one from my PLCE webbing set (Olive Green, not DPM) for the massive stuff. I only wear the first one - The other two lash on the back. Great for touring, transporting bulky suits of armour etc....
  8. Perhaps it was designed to take the weight like that for a reason. Also, this is a comparatively cheap bike. I know how much precision engineering costs and not even Harley D go quite to those lengths!!
  9. Yes, yes and yes. I have the brighter bulb and a TomTom Rider2 linked in to mine. I know someone else who has all three and then some. I also run heated grips and a CB radio off mine. However, it's worth getting a battery optimiser or similar charging system to keep things topped up.
  10. aBay, PartFinder, breakers yards etc etc. Most parts places should be able to find you either a genuine one or a pattern copy. To be honest, it's not a part that goes wrong or gets lost very often at all, so it will be expensive!!

    Legislation.

WARNING: Extreme sarcasm ahead. Please read this post with the same humour it was written in. 1/. Motorcycling is dangerous. Statistics say so and reports (altered or otherwise, Ken) concur... or are interpreted as such. 2/. Bicycles are even less impacting. You not seen the Ride To Work incentive schemes lately? 3/. Image - Bikes and 'Peds are ridden by speed freaks, gangs and scrotes, not sensible law-abiding, tax-paying folk. Nope.... Holding a DL196 CBT Cert certifies that you are 'basically safe', not proficient. Holding a full licence certifies that you have gained enough experience to execute the CBT syllabus to a higher standard. Proficiency comes mostly through experience. Aye, which is why you can take the test on a 125. So what you're saying is more revenue from those who still want to try and ultimately less bikers on the road, therefore less people dying? That's great!! Look what a wonderful, caring government we have!!!! Statistically, using the road is about the most dangerous thing the average member of the public can do these days. Cars are safer, bicycles are more friendly. Everything else is a menace, from bikers to horses to skateboarding, to being a dumb-ass suicidal pedestrian.
  12. No longer - I already went through it and made my choices. Chances are it's somewhat out of date nowadays, anyway.
  13. Hey, you picked one that looks great!!!
  14. Northerners.... No stamina
  15. Standard Yamaha filter. Silkolene is what I use, 'coz it's cheap but most 10W40 will be fine, I imagine. So long as you use whatever type the Owners Manual specifies, you should be good.
  16. That's coz you're all funny-shaped and have all these bumpy bits Not that I'm complaining..... Personally, I'm a fan of Halvarsson's stuff at the minute. I quite like their Twin vest and I'm trying to decide between their Morgan Trousers and Held's Raven Jeans (perhaps a bit too much of a 60s feel for me). Might get me some Draggin Cargos too...
  17. LMFAO over this episode!!! Jax's face when he peeked through the door I liked how everything was a fairly quiet episode. It made for a far more impacting ending, with that rather unexpected SMASHSMASHSMASHSMASHSMASHSMASHSMASHYOURFACEINONTHETABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...........................................'kinell, eh?
  18. Well, I'd like to call this guy out. I'd also like to ask Mods if they can check his IP against other peoples'. I know you can get 'Grafitti Creators' online and other such graphics that display custom text. There are roadside sign and a Church bulletin board ones as well, which is all good and humourous. I'd just like to know if this is a joke or not.
  19. Aw, fuckitt....... Looks like they have been taken over by the evil global enterprise that is More Crap than News (MCN). Might as well read The Sun!! Look here, anyway: Some reviews At least Bike Magazine seems to still be alive....
  20. You thought it was a wind-up too, huh? This is Starfish's profile statement: "My name is Brian, I am 39,I live at Toot Baldon neer Oxford, I am unemployed just now, I like motorbikes obvosly, drawing, trains, cars, nature, birds and insects,I have a pet trantula wot my mum dosnt like,a dog called beckam, I am a member off local comunity group, been into bikes for ages, and cars" Toot Balden is a tiny little village area just off the A4074, enroute to Fox's Diner.... Home of many Berkshire riders with mischevious senses of humour......
  21. I like White Wedding..... It's one of the few I can sing without making small children cry!! Is This Love - Whitesnake You Walk In My Soul - Gary Numan The Chapel Of Love - The Dixie Cups 1959 - The Sisters Of Mercy Song Instead Of A Kiss - Alannah Myles
  22. Dr. Dyke is Dr. Wick. Wick is a Chick.
  23. Ah, your ther-rapist, sweet pea? Zen you get to see ze great, vonderful Dr. Dyke. So what's your diag-nonsense?
