Has anybody got any favourite "One hit wonders"

To start off, here's a few of mine.

B. Bumble and the Stingers "Nut Rocker"

Zager and Evans "In the Year 2525 "

The Archies "Sugar Sugar"

And my favourite of all times.

Norman Greenbaum "Spirit in the Sky"

Nina Simone... My mum is a huge fan and named me after her (even though it was her stage name). But then again, who wants to be called Eunice?!

Yep remember those all too well how about

Mike Dinning "Teen angel"

Larry Verne "Mr Custer

The Tornadoes "Telstar"

Jeannie C Riley "Harper Valley PTA"

I still have the original "In the year 25 25" single, it's under the stairs in a box with loads of other old records and I don't have a record player any more, was going to bin them but it was bought for me by someone I remember fondly.

Ace "How Long" although it was their only hit, Paul Carrack went on to have further hits with Squeeze "Tempted" & Mike and the Mechanics "The Living Years"

Renee and Renata Save your love

Joe Dolce Shut uppa your face

St Winiferd choir No one quite like grandma

and not forgetting Mr Blobby

Oh great, thanks a bunch. Each one of those songs will take a week to get out of my head! :madflame:

I got this completely wrong!! I thought it was about one hit wonders on YOC, like my favorite has to be.

how can I make my 125 go faster

That's had more than one hit!

I don't think he was including you Andrew

Is Nina Simone really a One-Hit-Wonder, though?

"Feelin' Good" and "I Put A Spell On You" seem to get played and covered all over the place...

Tubeway Army were apparently a 1HW, but only because they changed to reflect Gary Numan as a solo career. Still like their stuff, though.

MARRS with Pump Up The Volume is pretty memorable.

Here you go Katie

Can tell that video is old as Jeremy Clarckson still has hair, I guess he must have been a bit short of cash to accept a job driving Mr blobby.

Nigel Farage would never call the EU nice
