I have been detailed to go with the wife tomorrow to the in-laws.

I can choose the music to listen to on the way up, I'm looking for suggestions. I've got a choice of the following, what would you recommend?

Thin Lizzy (whiskey in the jar)

Free (alright now)

Manfred Man

Boney M

Mamas & Papas

Bay City Rollers

Jim Morrison (Doors)

Supertramp

Hot Chocolate

Searchers

The Kinks

Rolling Stones

Jimi Hendrix

Hermans hermits

Hmmm, toughy. Thin lizzy is good but so is Hendrix!

Why not a bit of black Sabbath? Or pink Floyd?

Decent list (personally ouldn't have BCRs, but hey each to their own]

Why not use radio downloader (google it) and just listen to Pick of the Pops and Sounds of the 60s? both shows were good today. At least that way you get an element of the unexpected.

(to your list you could add the Stone roses, the Smiths, Talking Heads, 10cc, Small Faces, Spencer Davis, Traffic, Cream, The Shads, The Fortunes, The Merseybeats et al].

Enjoy your journey.

I think we are going off in a bit of a tangent here.

I can only choose from the music I have suggested.

Lets stick to the list please.

Right everybody, let's stick to the list. If Foamy is on line he would most likely suggest "all right now"

Which one of my list would you suggest?

Not your recommended suggestions.

Oops, sorry

As per your list, minus Boney M/Searchers/Hermans Hermits

All your three suggestions are great, but in the end I might put in the doors cd (come on baby light my fire/riders in the storm/hello, I love, won't you tell me your name)

I totally agree with your choices Pilninggas, but I like "fox on the run" by Sweet better.

Right, I've made up my mind as per your suggestions.
