well drove 200 miles today to give the painter my plastics, only gone and forgot the fuel tank :madflame:

left it in the shed as it stunk, so I borrowed a box off him and said he can have it back when I send the tank :D

asked it to be ready for end May

did a bit more today, noticed that the lower crank looked bodged so took it to kickstarter motorcycles in manchester for them to have a look. turns out its body filler :eusa_shifty:

took it back home and prayed that it was only the post that had gone and not the crank itself.

after a tense 10 mins using a wire brush drill attachment, i finally breathed and it was just the post that had been bodged so i tooki it back to KSM and he welded it up in a few hours.

so I went to manchester city centre 3 times today, luckily its only 10mins if the traffic's clear

Aye, I think the red is that stretcher/filler fibre glass stuff. Used it few times in the past filling in holes in car floors

there's no red there its only in the picture!

it could be the laser the phone uses to auto focus and exposure

got some wrecked dogbones off ebay for £4 so I can check if they fit

yipee, they do fit so all i need to do now is work out the ride height when the bike is together and either use standard YVPS dogbones or get some shorter ones

Will this change ride height ? is the R6 unit firmer ,?

the ride height will be adjusted via the dogbones when the bike is together

the r6 is about right and has the added benefit of rebound adjustment

got some tasty 4 pot front calipers of an FRZ400rr. these are fitted to TZR250 bikes too

WP_20150328_008_zpse6vroqob.jpg

and some Raask rearsets. brake side is good, gear change side is a lash up with only the back plate any good. Hopefully I might have some kind folks give me the missing bits

did a bit today, well a lot actually. forks in swing arm in, wheels on brakes in and the postie brought the pads striaght to me as I was hanging the brakes talk about timing.

the rear wezmoto brake pipe is too short, so that will have to go back :(

put the raask rearsets on and they are too high for me, so I'm going to stick with the original set up so I can be less of a contortionist!

the front brakes and M/C look good though, just need to bleed them

no, not till end May/beginning June

the bike can be ready for then as there's nothing worse than trying to store fairings off the bike
