paulrever
Anyone know if tubeless tyre valves can be replaced without removing the tyre? Front tire Size: 120/70 Rear tire Size: 160/
Moderator Airhead Posted July 20, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 20, 2012 yes the vslve (inner) can be replaced, just buy some new ones and a valve tool from a car spares outlet
paulrever
Thank's Airhead but I mean to replace the whole valve with metal one's.
Moderator DirtyDT Posted July 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 21, 2012 Tubless valves are normally pulled in from the inside to the outside, so no. A decent tyre fitter could remove the tyres, change the valves and repace the tyres but it would be a relatively high cost for what you would get. paulrever
Thank's DirtyDT, I'm trying to avoid the cost you mentioned and I won't need tyres replace for some time. The advantage was for angled valves, front wheel valve awkward to get at. Cheer's.

Moderator DirtyDT Posted July 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 21, 2012 A cryptic question to start with. Make sure they don't affect the wheel balancing.
paulrever
A cryptic question to start with. Make sure they don't affect the wheel balancing. Good one. I will only use to check and inflate. Ta.
paulrever
One other thing. Does anyone think the pressure reading would be affected by going thru tyre valve and adaptor?
Moderator mervin Posted July 23, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 23, 2012 Definetly only use em for checking and inflating , slightly over inflate and adjust pressure afterwards as you lose a little air removing the adapter , i do it all the time
