I'm new to this forum, so firstly hello!

Does anyone work for Yamaha or know one who can run a VIN check for me? I need to obtain a file/PDF or something with details of the bike (VIN/engine number) from a reputable source. Yahama UK are so slow and hardly respond to my emails and my local dealer is a grumpy bugger!.

It's a racebike (R6) and it was never registered.

A few years ago I wanted rid of the Q plate on my xs1100. I contacted Yamaha UK with the engine and frame number and they sent me a letter stating the year of manufacture and it was sold in Europe.

On the strength of that I got a T plate reg from DVLA, so I would persevere with Yam UK

i can do a hpi check at work from the reg or vin if you pm me as its a race not sure what it will find
