up.yours Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 who the feck goes to all that trouble these days. this is how i do it, with no ill effects over the last four years of ownership and massive abuse by me. 1. open and remove filler cap. 2. pore 350ml of silkoline out of pop bottle into tank. 3. add fuel, 10 - 13 ltr (depending ) 4.replace fuel cap 5. hit speed ramp on leaving garage to mix fuel. blackhat250 Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 I"v used carlube/ Oregon / Tesco"s finest", all are semi synthetic, and pre mix well ,, as i mix drums "Transperent" for chainsaws too, i give drum a good shake, and petrol turns blood red ,and never separates, even sitting for weeks, Mineral oils such as Shell SX Advance, are thicker, even Castrol R40 [glue] pre-mix , but need a dam good shake.
