From the French side we will head south on the D940 coast road towards Boulogne. This road is a stunner once passed Sangatte with some great views over to the White Cliffs of Dover with a series of hairpins and hills that make Laguna Seca look tame!! .We are open to ideas of what to do and where to go after reaching Boulogne.

At the first of several 2nd WW Mueseums on the D940 there is a Cafe to stop and get a drink etc where we can plan the rest of the day.

We need to be back for check in at Euro Tunnel Calais by 19.50 for the 20.20 departure( French time which is 1 hour in advance of us)Arriving at Folkestone at 19.55 UK Time.

nope just had notification from MAG today the french bikers are going on a protest in june about it , they will require hi viz to be won at all times even on bicyles by all accounts now that will upset the ruddy frogs cos they just love to wear their favorite riders outfit just as some saddos in this country alaways wear a football shirt, shorts and boots when watching match of the day

Merv

extract from the mail i received from MAG tonight

French legislators have decided that motorcyclists should compulsorily

wear dayglo and reflective clothing.

They also want to see immediate jail terms for those caught doing more

than 30mph over the speed limit and larger numberplates for bikes so

that they can be more easily prosecuted.

There are a raft of other things and remember France went ahead with the

100bhp limit back in the 90's, but not surprisingly, the French riding

community aren't best pleased and are arranging a mass day of action for

June 18th.

the 100bhp only applies to French registered motorcycles. If you got a foreign one, you can use your 180 hp bike at any time. ! B)
