  1. I got the '78 dealer update from 360 to 400 and all was mentioned different was the cc's and chamfered casing, lever gaiters. no mention of silencers so i assume they would fit.

you won't find any left silencers, i looked for years and managed to get the only one in the country/world.

    thank you kindly sir ,

so how much were the sito's from bonnnie scotland ?

  2. need to get SITO's there s an importer based in scotland or there is some on ebay £150 pair

i'd considered the ones on ebay , and compared the price of sito's at klasmo.de ,

and alternately thought about two universal aftermarket megaphones ....

only as i'll be in the states in september , and the price for the 2:1 was in dollars ,

i figure the full set would be cheaper than two silencers ??

maybe a two way bet might not be a bad idea ....

take off the original system and keep a look out for an original left silencer ,

meanwhile pick up the mac 2:1 in september ?

but the same question must be asked , will it fit ?

  3. woo hoooooo :beerchug:

    thank you kindly sir !

i'm well happy as it is in time warp condition with the original bridgestone tyres ,

and on closer inspection the original tool kit !

obviously i expected a few jobs would be needed , it goes with the territory ...

    1. two new tyres might not be a bad idea ?

    2. it starts by shorting out the starter as the button has been lost , but i have a spare one .

    3. the fuel tap leaks but there's a new one on the way .

    4. the chain is too tight so i might replace it .

    5. sadly the left side silencer is on the way out

maybe this might be the best fix for now , presuming it will fit ??

    exhaust

  4. i think plenty of folks will have been tempted to cut the rear frame rails ,

but the question is where do you go from there ?

a central rear number plate for symetry would be a consideration ....

but the world is your oyster and i look forward to the update ;)

  5. this might help as a rough guide ,

my 1976 kawasaki z750 twin runs mikuni bs38 carbs ,

the main jets were increased from 125 to 140 ,

and the pilot jet from 45 to 50 .

you might also need a small crankcase filter ...

but if you remove the air filter there should be provision for another tool box ?

it's my coffee pot mod !!

sure it's the wrong bike but you'll see what i mean !!
