    have i missed something ? but in the short time i have been on this site i cant recall having seen any major problems but from what i have seen the folk on here seem to do a good job of self monitering, if it aint broke dont fix it , like goff i have seen on other forums moderators and rules introduced that have devistated the forums and created problems where problems didnt really exist, we all have our own views and ideas and different sense of humours this is what makes a good forum, it is only where personal verbal attacks get out of hand that moderators should interject , because a moderator doesnt agree with somebody elses view doesnt make it right ,yamaheads style of moderating from what i have seen laid back and not condecending seems the right level for me,but that is only my point of view and i am sure we will hear many more and different views from young and old alike,we all have one common interest bikes leave politics to the idiots that think they run our countrys and not get bogged down with internal wrangling, all have a safe day out on your bikes and enjoy it

    dont quite understand that, first i passed my test in 1969 and was in the army so my insurance company then would have been her majesty,s goverment since then no insurance company in the last 39yrs has ever asked to see my licence i think if i would have had an accident or made a claim they might have wanted to see it but never the less the dvlc would not accept third party evidence even from the ministry of defence who hold all my driving records if you read the other posts of people on here that it has happened to you will see the same story

    Never once have I NOT had to produce my licence for ANY insurance, every firm I have used have insisted on seeing my documents before offering insurance. I know of people who have been in similar situations to yourself and have used their insurance company's copies of their own driving licence to convince the DVLA of their entitlement.

    Guys! let's try and keep away from personal insults, it will only lead to the thread been deleted and nobody wants that when a GOOD debate is ongoing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and collective knowledge is so much more useful than My method is better than YOUR method, nobody comes out a winner. I see good points in everybody's argument and maybe using BOTH or ALL will help everybody.

    Now if you had beating up some old beggars then all you would've had to have done was paint a few fences :blink: and they would probably throw in a few lines of coke to let you "chill out ma man!"
