  1. Hi. As a general rule if you rev the engine and the noise goes away or gets quieter it may well be a cam chain that is loose and if the noise gets louder it is a good indication that valve clearences may well need checking. I am not a familiar with this bike but doing a quick google search I gather it is a 1999 modle or something later which may well have a automatic tensioner on it. Check with your local dealer on what type of tensioner is on the bike. If it is an auto tensioner and you still think cam chain noise either the tensioner is faulty or chain needs replacing. Another check on the cam chain is to turn the motor over by hand off the crank (normaly the rotor bolt with s/plug out)and you should be able to feel any slack. I would suggest that if you are not familiar with installing cams/cam chains etc then get some one to show you or buy a manual as a simple mistake can be costly. Ernie.
  2. Hi. Well I've been out and done a quick ride (200km on the hwy) Fuel consumption with above gearing and speed is 19.3 km per litre. Going to have to drop a few teeth on the rear sproket feels like it could use an extra gear. Thanks
  3. Can some one give me an idea on fuel consumption for the tt600 belgada in touring mode. I plan to sit on around 100 to 110km/h and am at present running 16/48 sprockets. I have a set of 15/42 sprockets to go on it. Bike is in stock trim. I know that I will have to do my own test but some idea on what to expect would be great. Also any suggestions on sprocket gearing wouldnt go astray. Thanks Ernie.
  4. Hi. Get yourself a volt meter and test light. Cheap little items but Ive found they make checking electrics easy ie checking battery voltage , charging rate, making sure power is getting to where its ment to be. Cheers
