  1. no i have no problem with any rider,i was replying to yourself because you gave the impression i shouldnt be in first gear when passing anyone

well you shouldn't be - unless you're crawling... but YOU gave the impression you were overtaking at speed!

And just FYI - i used to own and Aprilia RS125 - so i know EXACTLY how 2 strokes work....... and i dont recall overtaking anyone in first......

  2. i would do if i remembered, but sometimes when your flicking it through the box ,you tend to forget too boot it when you get to first.{for the purpose of any women who havnt had a two stroke regular gear change is common practice ,

You appear to have a problem with women riders.....

I would quit with this "women riders" shit now if i were you.....

  3. Yeah i know, i just think it is a bit to narrow. When was the last time you heard of someone upgrading their motorcycle. We all buy our bikes for reasons that apply at the time could be with your heart or your head. Bloke i see at work is chuffed with his Duvall ( i know i know) I'm chuffed with the TDR i have got hold of. You can agree very different bikes but both bought for the same reason backache, we both needed the upright riding position but we prefer different soloutions.

I think all the new stuff has got a bit disposable TBH they look alike in their particular part of the sales plan and they all perform far above the capabilities of most of us as motorcyclists. And as for the dealers i wouldnt pi55 on most of em if they caught fire.

You only have to log on here to see how different we all are, but imagine how shitty it would be if we weren't.

Yeah i agree, but when you are trying to conduct research its not easy to ask the questions that EVERYONE can answer honey - i HATE doing research!!

  4. when setting off at t-lights.or sometimes just from the curb it misses, and whangs its head off and attracts an audiance.{helmet hides the blushes i no.) then again i may overtake a woman rider eh.

From the sounds of the way you "ride" your bike.... i doubt that very much.

The only women riders you're likely to overtake are the ones riding sidesaddle on bicycles :P

  5. ta chris1958 ,no offence ,but im hoping somebody can contradict you,as this can sometimes become quit annoying, and embarrasing,ie when overtaking.

It CANNOT be done - you can put a close ratio gearbox on it from a TZ350 or summat - but you are always gonna hook over neutral.

Pretty much what Chris said here:

Nah can't be done as your running through neutual in your box from 1st to 2nd. :D

And why is it annoying or embarrassing? WTF are you overtaking in 1st gear? Milk Floats?????

  6. if as you say ,this advanced course is so good, why has it not replaced the driving test we currently have,?

I would hazard a guess....and its only a guess mind....that it might be because everyone who does their driving test has had NO ROAD EXPERIENCE whatsoever - hence the advanced driving courses for when you have gained a little more experience.......

  7. I have a way to answer both your questions at once.

you can have air conditioning for your bike and 100% dry rain free environment.

heres all you have to do:

load that fukker in a box truck, and enjoy the air conditioned drive free of rain as you deliver the bike to my house. I will be glad to take your bike and you can spend the trip home lamenting over your stupidity.....;)

    PRICELESS

  8. Get a couple of independant valuations. Go to some bike shops and ask if they would be willing to put in writing what your bike would be worth inthe condition it was in. Get a couple.

Also go onto auto trader etc, and see what the cost is to buy one like yours - print those off.

You DO NOT have to accept their first offer, but i'd try the above then send copies to the insurance company.

If you wanna throw schoolboy insults at one another then may i suggest you go somewhere else and do it.... its rather tiring now

  10. It was NOT your fault. You were in YOUR lane - they pulled into it - YOU are in the right.

You need to pursue this all the way honey - do not be fobbed off by anyone - IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT.

This pillock was driving without due care and attention and thats what you need to focus on.

I know of a GREAT solicitors down here who support bikers and also sponsor NAB'd and if you want their details i'll happily pass them on to you

Hope you are feeling better soon ;)

  11. thats what im getting at ,when im on the bike i mellow out,i feel untouchable ,and when im in the car ,other drivers mistakes quickly get to me ,hens me thinking that they are t...s

And THATS when you start to make mistakes........

  12. whilst we're on the subject... where's Goff?

    Easy tiger......

  14. I drive my car more than i ride my bike - i have to. I have 3 kids.

I would much rather be taking the bike - well except when im doing the weekly shop!

I am (apparently) according to my OH - an "aggressive" driver - i dont think so - i just want to get there in once piece without some myopic arsehole trying to ram his range rover into me!

I used to drive an ambulance - and i guess i still have the "get outta ma way!" mentality
