  1. i think its silly and childish blocking people from using forums. yeah you might be a bitm ore respected than i am on here, but i dont really care. and tbh i aint a twat, the girl just wanted to get home as it was raining and it was quicker for her to get home, i been riding bikes for years, i have experience i wasnt going to fall off on an empty back road in the middle of the welsh valley at 1 oclock in the morning. yeah you can delete my account on here if you so wish. but that is just childish behavior, i know, you will probably say that it was childish behavior me bunking a girl without a helmet, yeah i know it was i aint done it before, but as i just explained it was raining and she wanted to get home.

    Childish behaviour huh?

I think most of us on here would class taking a girl on the back of your bike with no helmet and no consideration to what could happen IN THE RAIN rather childish........

thanks guys, not really, haha, i wont be coming back here, you all a bunch of wankers, and tbh you saying "someone who knows about bikes" and ikm sitting here with a diploma in moter veichle mechanics and going on to study it in uni, thanks a lot guys, only wanted to feckin know your opinions on the brake pads, dont reli give a fuck, only crash as much in the rain as i do in the dry. and riding around with a back brake aint hard at all if you ask me, i used to ride a push bike around with no fuckin brakes for fuck sake. fuck u all

Shall i tell you where to shove your diploma? I think you can guess though pal.

I study at uni too - but it dont make me invincible, nor does it make me the all knowing oracle on motorcycles. However i do know that doing what you did makes you a prime candidate for twat of the year - a diploma well earned in my book.

You crash as much in the dry as you do in the rain? oooooh how many times have we heard that.

No one knows whats gonna happen when you sling your leg over a bike - and you sir, are no fuckin exception.

You come on here wanting an opinion on your brakes, and think its big and clever to carry a girl on a bike that is unsafe with no helmet, in the rain at 1 in the morning, and you wonder why folk have a pop.

Go away, think abou twhat you did and fuckin grow up

  4. Hi there could someone give me advice on the best place to sell my bike .... ive been told to put her on ebay but shes a really nice little bike and dont think i would get a fair deal on there

Ive never sold a bike before so any advice would be a help .......... many thanks x x

What makes you think you wouldnt get a fair deal? As OG said - put a reserve on it - that will ensure you either get what you want for it or it wont sell - simples :D

  5. We've all done it mate.

That Bandit 400 i had was a death trap. I went to see it too -but until you get them home and have a real good look - you cant tell. In the case of the Bandit - it was a death trap - and the guy knew us!

Worse thing was the spacers missing out of the rear wheel! There were LOADS of dangerous things wrong with that bike.

Cost me what i paid for it to put right.

You'll get there so dont give up.

  6. robanglim:

suprisingly, not that long at all if you use the right stuff - I use something called NEVR DULL (comes in a tin - wool with a non abrasive cleaner - smells a bit like brasso - lovely smell!) so whilst I'm cleaning I'm getting high!...

    Simple directions:

wash chrome, blot dry, apply nevr dull, leave to haze(wo a whitish colour - abt. 5 minutes), polish off,

spokes are a bit more hard work - not figured the best way to do these yet!... any advice?!?!.

    Get them powdercoated!

    Goff:

    Thanks!...

I'd love to get it sprayed bright yellow - what do you think?!?!..

If thats what flicks yer switch then go for it honey ;)

  8. sure i apreciate the advise but as for the last comment, dont you find it kinda strange that i heard nothing untill i made my second comment. plenty of responces all weekend to other non bike related subjects.

anyway, thaks to all who have given me some advise.

Actually no i dont - and if you'd had a proper look about the forum before shooting your mouth off and pissing people off you would have known that.

Maybe there had been plenty of responses to other non-bike related topics and maybe, just MAYBE there wasnt anyone aorund over the weekend who knew anything about the fz6-n - myself included, so what the hell would be the point in answering the bloody query if i know fuck all about it????

Did you for a second think about that just a tiny bit?

Nah i didnt think so........

  9. Interesting that Goff lef tthis thread and ditched the others

Thats because there were more replies to this one than the others.

Not that i have to explain my actions .........

  10. The new motorcycle test

The decision regarding the recent consultation to introduce the new test in modular format was announced by Jim Fitzpatrick MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Department for Transport, on 29 January. The key points are:

New motorcycle test to be split into 2 parts

Increased number of service delivery points

New test can be booked from 30 March 2009 at the latest

Testing to commence on Monday 27 April

The new motorcycle test aims to improve the standard of road safety for motorcycle and moped riders. This user group has been identified as having a high risk of injury or death, this is particularly the case for young and inexperienced riders.

The new test will be completed in two modules. The specified manoeuvres conducted at specific speeds will be tested in Module 1 on safe off-road sites and take on average 22 minutes.

    These specified manoeuvres are:

At least two manoeuvres carried out at slow speed, including a slalom

At least two manoeuvres carried out at higher speed, of which one exercise should be in second or third gear, at a speed of at least 30 km/h (approx. 19 mph) and one exercise avoiding an obstacle at a minimum speed of 50 km/h (approx. 32 mph)

At least two braking manoeuvres, including an emergency brake at a minimum speed of 50 km/h (approx. 32 mph)

On the day of the Module 1 test, candidates will be asked by the examiner to demonstrate their riding ability on either the left-hand or right-hand circuit. Please note that the standard off-road layout may change due to local conditions on the casual sites.

Click here to see the standard layout of the left and right-hand circuts.

Click here to see the standard layout including measurements.

Those candidates who have demonstrated riding skills of a dangerously incompetent level during Module 1 will not be permitted to take Module 2.

Those candidates who have passed Module 1 will receive a Test Pass Certificate which they must bring with them when they take Module 2.

Module 2 of the test will be about 57 minutes in length and will consist of the eyesight test, road safety questions and at least 30 minutes of road riding. consisting of a road ride covering a variety of road and traffic conditions and will also include normal stops, hill and angle starts.
