Blerdy hell you're quite good - and im LOVIN the oirish accents! WOOHOO! Im gonna ring Simon Cowell and DEMAND that you replace the screaming banshee

I used to front a band meself a couple of years ago - i wouldnt say we were much good, but we were entertaining and we were always fully booked!

Seriously - i LOVE the version of Hallelujah and Stop and Stare, i thought you did a great job of them. Keep at it!

  3. I saw this posted on another forum a couple of weeks ago, I'm not really in with the assination of the poor girl, I think there will be alot of women who would be very happy with that body, and despite the comments I think most guys would be happy to have a girl with that body. Clearly vanity is a shallow master......

The guy should really have pulled the thread, what kind of dick would just sit there and let a load of loosers mouth off like that.

I did find it funny that someone described the car as a "sportscar", WTF ??? it's a hair dressers car, and not a very good one at that.......

Oooh, I'm feeling all benvolent this morning

I wasnt condoning the assassination of the girl - just the way the thread went on and on and on and some of the comments made about the car etc.

Apparently though she has become quite famous, so i hope something positive has come of it for her.

However - if you post piccies like that of yourself on the web, you should expect some stick

  4. these are brill goff - cheers.

im gonna do these with my year 10s next week!!!

Make sure you post some piccies of their efforts then - would be great to see the kids doing something constructive!

In fact i think we all should do them on here - have a lil "Yammy Crafty" comp

  5. Is she the black one who set out on her own one week to choose and arrange her own song? I saw like 2 episodes (my girlfriend watches it) and I was amazed that she'd made it through auditions, I could have sung better than she did, she hit about 6 flats, was completely off key all the way through, I swear she missed her que at one point and luckily, because it's a good band, they saved her. And then the judges just go on about hoe challenging it's been for her, not a single pissing musical comment in it, that really grated my nerves. If we're not talkinga bout her, then I'm sorry :P but she IS rubbish

Nah its not her - its the one they have tried to make look like a hippy - all messy blonde hair and barefoot with a voice that sounds like you're rubbing a rat down a cheese grater....the one you're on about is Rachel. She wasnt too bad i didnt think, but fuck me her attitude stank!! Anywhooo - she went out of it last night!

Mornin Goff, She the one who lost her vice?, SHAAAME.

The dog seem`s to like her, Set`s her off a treat, All the best, Mark.

    Lol yep thats her

  6. Er Goff, its on itv......

    So it is

ITV is programmed to 111 in our house henc my mistake (and lack of brainage)

    Ok i shall rephrase

I have to switch to the shite thats on the BBC, (which i pay for!) every time she's on and paying a licence for that tripe makes my toes curl even more than watching Diana fookin Vickers! :P

  7. Ok - i watch this - only cos there is naff all else dominating prime time telly on a saturday night.

Now, this is aimed at those that DO watch it - im not asking for any "i dont watch that shite" posts because they are totally irrelevant, and that will just prove that you DO watch the X Factor, you just want people to think you're tough cos ya dont *snigger*

    Anywhooo - Diana Vickers......

My god what is wrong with that girl? She sounds like a strangled cat!!! I cannot STAND to hear her "sing". She is THE worst contestant ever. Yet the judges are bleating about how fantastic she is cos she is "quirky". QUIRKY? If you want quirky come meet some of OUR members! One even mentioned a recording contract tonight! Are the rest of the public completely deaf???

If this is what i pay my bloody TV licence for you can shove it - i have never had my ears bleed so much as i have tonight listening to that girl wail through one of Take Thats songs - it was sheer torture.

For fucks sake people - vote the talentess bint off and bring back Laura!!

  8. Nahhh you're not an idiot -just takes tiome to get used to your bike.

When i got mine i had come straight off a CBR600 - i slammed it into first from second and jaysus did it scream and lurch like you wouldn't believe!

Then on the way back (with pillion) i went into to 3rd from 2nd and wasnt going fast enough - result was the bike stalled, threw us forward and the pillion headbutted me

We all been there at some point honey - and you would not believe some of the steeeeyoooopid things i have done over the years ;)

  9. Fuck me...... I must be under 20!!!!!!

I actually just have sensitive hearing and yes, it DOES hurt!!!!!!!!!!

You can hear it because its not a pure sine wave.

Your average 40-49 year old can hear 15 kHz just fine, however the cutoff frequency for a young person can be high as 20 kHz or even 25 kHz, for a pure sine wave and for your average 40-49 year old 15 kHz - so technically they are right - but these ring tones are not pure sine waves so on the other hand its wrong. They are just annoying after a while. ;)

  10. TT? *tut* - you dont need him

Changing gear - OK lets see if i can help

You should really be changing gears when the bike is producing enough torque to give you the most efficient acceleration, basically when the engine "wants" a gear change.

Timing is the hardest thing to learn when changing gear.

You should be aiming to select a gear when the engine is running in a decent rpm range, which is usually the bottom of the powerband. You should only change when you need to change - changing to early will lead to insufficient acceleration which in turn could lead you to stall your bike. Too much and the engine will scream blue murder at you.

You need to listen to your engine and get used to how it sounds. You say you might be changing too early - try leaving it a little later, see how the engine responds then. Its something you learn about your bike and not something you can do by reading a book or being told - you have to know your bike. However, here's a little rough guide that might help you - every bike will be different, but here are some basic guidelines for when to change up when you accelerate and change down when you are slowing down to keep the engine spinning in the desired rpm range:

    Changing points:

First Gear: 0-10 mph change up at 10 mph

Second Gear: 5-25 mph change up at 25 mph, change down at 5 mph

Third Gear: 20-40 mph, change up at 40 mph, change down at 20 mph

Fourth Gear: 35-55 mph, change up at 55 mph, change down at 35 mph

Fifth Gear: 55+ mph, change down at 50

    HTH ;)

  11. Err...... Says who???!!!!!

Being pretty does not automatically make her right, ya know.... ;)

You should be able to get 75mph on a flat road out of a 125 Drag.

Make sure it's well cared for and has decent fuel in it. I use Shell myself, choosing to avoid Texaco and any supermarket fuels. I find bikes run better on whatever mixture they use.

Yeah - i guess you could get 75 out of it if you screwed the bollox off it - you have to REALLY push it to get that out of it.

TT just doesnt like me being right :lol:

  12. Is the TomTom rider still supplied with a crappy plastic mount ??

I have TomTom Rider 2 and the mount on this one isnt as bad as the first version. It comes with a full mounting kit with a choice of "U" screws to fit any size bars. You can also bluetooth your phone to it and play MP3's - has a rather snazzy Scala Rider headset which i found works brilliantly - i can hear it clearly even with my pipes being loud as fuck.
