  1. You're having a laugh!? He made me feel about 2 foot tall and even laughed! I thought it was ridiculous to think that the speedo didnt light up but when your main dealer tells you there's no light you kinda take it as gospel!

I'll be "popping in" over the weekend. Rest assured I wont push his nose through his skull but i will be exchanging words!

FYI I have spoken to Mag Europe Ltd and Vance and Hines Direct and will be ordering my Cruzers shortly - best I could get in the UK was £450 delivered with a min 6 weeks wait... managed to get them from JC Motorcycles in the states for £280 delivered and all in stock! Cha-Ching! Lots of phone calls later I've been assured its part number 31501 for an 04 Classic.

    We'll see!!!!

    Rich

    See my previous post.

I am now shouting....stand well back......

OMP MOTORCYLES HAVE NOT, I REPEAT NOT CLOSED DOWN

Only the website is shut for refurbishment hence why the ste is closed for orders.

Call them direct and order over the phone - i put contact details on my previous post. - i did PM you about it too!

Ordering from the states may cost you dearly - at £280 you will have hefty custom charges on top of that so they will not be any cheaper - in fact i would hazard a guess that they will end up costing you a lot more. Check BEFORE you order them that they will mark them as a gift - if not you WLL pay heavily to bring them into the UK.

  2. Can't wait until im in the RAF and get to tinker with bigger things...

    wonder if i could bodge a nitrous kit onto a VC-10... :)

    The army is better ;)

My lil bro is an avionics engineer in the army and he plays with masssseeeeeev toys all the time - great pay and a great job!

  3. Lets face it - who has never broen the speed limit on gtheir bike either intentionally or not?

    No i thought not

Show me a biker who hasn't gone over the speed limit and got a rush from it and ill show my arse in Primark window.......

  4. So come one then - how many of you made them and have managed to stick to hem?

Me - i vowed to get fitter and lose a lil bit of weight.

Ive booked a personal trainer for a week on tuesday - i WILL be fitter in 6 months or dead cos i HATE exercise!

  5. Where you watching Star Gate ?? perhaps there was a rift in time and there`s a guy in another dimension now wondering why he has 4 remote controls :o

    :lol::lol:

  6. I take it you mean this one:

    Piston Exits Engine

Ive seen this before and i have no doubt that its not a piston.

If it was it would have come forward through the steering head and not under the tank - i reckon its nitrous which backfired through the intake and blew the carbs and its the airbox, or part of it that you see fall to the floor, not his hand as some people seem to think.

The film is cut short so everyone goes "oooh fuck he's lost his hand".....yeah right - a blown piston wont have enough force to come through the bike and then sever someone's hand

  7. I dunno - i have a shaft drive

Personally i would have gone to your local bike shop and asked rather than Halfords. If they are anything like the staff at my local store they are automated morons who havent a clue about any of the products they stock.

Me - ive always used Wurth products - never had a problem.

Im sure the Castol lube will be just fine - if its supposd to lube, then it will lube. :D

  8. When i had my CBR i used to throttle it everywhere. I went from Manchester to Stockon on tees in just under an hour on a wednesday morning - a journey that normally takes roughly an hour and 40 ish

I made some silly mistakes at times too. Im a good rider, least i think i am, but then dont we all........

I realised one day (after a stupid off that was entirely my fault) that - even though i LOVE the adrenalin rush and the thrill i got from riding like a twat, i had 3 kids at home who needed me more than the funeral parlour did, so i traded in my CBR and bought myself an XVS - i havent looked back since. I began to realise that biking wasnt just about how fast you could go, and i began to enjoy it even more than i ever did, and i still am.

I miss the CBR and the fun it gave me, hence why i bought the Bandit, which gave me a little taster of what i missed (which i only sold cos i wanted a new sofa lol) - i will buy another one soon, but it wont be anything over a 400 - I seem to have this problem wih my wrist that i cant control, and that could be the death of me.

  9. This tankbag is to go with the tailpack already fitted to my bike, As for the oxford tankbag where do the straps go? They can not go under the tank there's just no way to thread the straps through.

I have no idea then - but is there a reason your text is so big?

My eyes are beginning to bleed....

  10. Ive just checked out offshore motorcyles - apparently they arent closed for good - the WEBSITE is closed for refurbishment so they cant take ONLINE orders

Ring them up and talk to them. :D

I ordered mine over the phone so theres no problems doing that.

  11. I cant believe it! I was all set to place my order following your recommendations and I got a one line e-mail from them:

"Sorry, we are now closed down."

    Back to square one!

A real shame if they were as good as you guys seemed to think!

    Richard

Shit you're kidding!!! They were really good, and theres no notice of them closing on heir website!

One place i do NOT recommend though is the Twisted Spanner at Malock Bath....PLEASE do not go there, he is a lying scumbag and will rip you off in a heartbeat.

  12. Yep seen the film, read the book and got the Tshirt,,,,, been doing it off n on for the last 30 years

My god!!! I lasted about 5 years and never went back - nor would i ever! Kudos to you for putting up with it though!

  13. What about bus driving ???????? at least you have four wheels and once you know the routes you should be OK,,,,down side is the shifts,, the abuse you are going to get off passengers, pedestrians and other road users,, moneys not too bad,, if you can drive a van and been on the road a couple of years and your licence aint full of points they will help you get a PCV..........

Nooooooooooooooooooo!! Its THE worst job in the world! i have a PSV and drove buses aorund Manchester for several years, but never again. Is the most stressful, thankless job i have ever done. The money wasn't all that great for the amount of shit you had to deal with and put up with and the management (at First Manchester) are the biggest bunch of arseholes i have ever had to work under.

If you want a job where you get constant grief from both passengers and management then go for it.

HOWEVER - on he plus side - when i left First, i went to a smaller company and i actually didnt mind it cos it was contract work, so all i did was pick up and drop off old ladies at the swimming baths etc. :D

  14. I have never been a courier in London but i imagine it will test your skills!

Why not have a go, and if you dont like it do something else.

It will be an experience if nowt else honey! :D

  15. Having just spoken to a very nice man called Richard at Chorley Yamaha Centre, he has reliably informed me that the SPANKIN NEW XVS950 Midnight Star is due in the UK mid February at an approximate price of £6399 OTR. (VERY fookin cheap!)

He is gonna call me when they themselves get one in so i can go take a look and have a test ride

Richard - You are indeed a top bloke :D
