  1. Just been over to my neares Yamaha dealers to take a look at the new XVS950A Midnight Star.

I have to say it is absolutely GORGEOUS.

Its light, comfortable and i do beleive Yamaha may have got it right this time. Looks wise, its sleek and sexy, the matt black compliments the chrome and tones it down a tad which i think looks so much better than the gloss black frame of the 650.

The only thing im not keen on it the fact that the brake fluid reservoir is right on the front, but i can live with that.

So - am now negotiating with the dealer for one of these babies - fingers crossed for monday! :D

  2. thats so coooool :P. too bad you will be hiding it under the leathers...

Not all the time ;) Besides - i have a quarter sleeve on each arm, both wrists, inner left forearm, top back piece and lower back and abdomen piece to show off too ;)

ive got another year and 9 months to wait for mine, full length snake down my left arm :P

Make sur eyou choose a really good artist honey :D

  4. lol - too far on a 125!!

I used to regulary do around 1000 miles in a weekend on my Aprilia RS 125 - its a sports bike and far more uncomfy than a dragstar! lol

Glad you got sorted though - the Shadow is a nice bike - almost got one myself before i found Elvira - incidentally, im going to take a look and a test ride on the new Dragstar 950 on Saturday morning so she may be up for sale if i like it :D

  5. Should you get a Dragstar...? NO. They are for nancy boys with girls hair. Dts dominate aw ra way.

    LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!

Funny that cos im a girl and i have one......and i like nancy boys wih girls hair. Sounds like a lil bit of jealousy there

That has got to be one of th best comebacks in history.

Thats cos you dont mess with the TT...... ;)

  6. For anyone who enjoys track days, club racing, testing on a race-track, etc book 'em now while you can.

Not a simple as it looks, but the family moved next to a race circuit then go to court to complain about the noise

If I've read it correctly the daughter who is claiming is the ex wife of one of the original owners of croft when the circuit was revamped in 1994 (and the parents tried to turn their house into a hotel to profit from the circuit)

    Headlines :

    http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/4076...s_noise_appeal/

A RACING circuit today lost its appeal against a legal case brought by a couple and their daughter who say their lives have been blighted by noise from the track.

    Case notes :

    see item 68

In my words "moving to live next to a race track doesn't mean you can't complain about the noise, but also they didn't realise it would be noisy" :o

What a set of money grabbing arseholes!

  7. Oh really?

Well, watch me crash my BMW Executive 7-series turbo charged box into your flimsy bike and see who survives. I survive, which means I'm right. I'm also right because I'm a company rep and I have a big willy.

    I want pictures......... :P

  8. I cant ride Elvira yet anyway as im having hest sheld made for her exhaust cos im on my 3rd pair of waterproof keks since the summer

Hopefully it will be back on monday - why is it you miss riding your bike more when theres something being done to it rather than it just being sat there? lol :D

  9. Those a re VERY nice bikes indeed metal ken. The BMW looks the dogs danglies B)

Shed Hermit - i am sorry if you feel i was having a pop at you - but yeah im passionate about them. Stick around a bit, get to know me and you'll find im an abrupt little shite  I mean no harm

WF - you got it - just tighten my leash every now and then eh :P;)

  10. No arguing from me - Wild Foamy - you of all people should know me better than that, you've been here long enough.

Shed hermit - if you had been here long enough you would know me and how i post.

And if you noticed the smiley on the end - surely you would know i was having a laugh with you - if i was really having a pop at you my god you would know about it.

As for the cursing - i swear a lot - get used to it.

WF - i will help you out as much as i can, and again, you know that ;)

  11. calm down Goff, just a misunderstanding ;)

anyway, what does it do to the handling/performance, and any particular reason you went with GSX frames for your last couple of fighters? surely must hurt your wrists after an hour or two :P

    Im always calm me :D

GSX frames cos you can get more or less anything you like in them

If they hurt your wrists - you aint riding 'em right :P

  12. hi goff, pleased to meet you. do you have a tooth coming in or somthing???you sound a little ratty. :( i didnt mean to disrespect "streetfighters" i was making the point that some people do this because it can be cheaper and easier than trying to locate (and finance) original parts. as for the HPI checks if a bike is only third party and no other vehicles were involved in any accident then the insurance company may have no knowledge of the damage sustained to the bike hence the before and after photos.

Nope - im always like that when someone makes a post before thinking.

If thats the point you were trying to make you didnt make it very well - in fact im sure you said to be wary of buying one because they've usually been smashed........

Im rather passionate about my fighters as those who have been here a while will know, so it does piss me off somewhat when folk make stupid statements like that.

Fightering a bike is not something that can be done in a couple of weeks - it can take years. Our GSXR750 has taken almost 3 - and those that have done so because and i quote "it can be cheaper and easier than trying to locate (and finance) original parts" can be spotted a mile off.
