  1. will do, have you a link or file for a workshop manual for one of these bikes, i had one off here before but that was 2007 and i cant find posts that date that far!
  2. no more bores left eek! so i will inspect the rings tomorrow which will most likely be the cause, ill have to get some more and take my time, 500 miles is along time, how normally would rings be run in for any body else? as where i go is the mountain so that would probaly take me months to run in, going out twice a week for about 4 hours a time. so dont be hitting the power band when sitting the rings in!
  3. there brand new rings, it ticked over on half a tank of petrol plus a bit more, it was left about a day, failing that how long do you need to run it to run the rings in? is it 500 miles? so just stick the back end up, 1st gear and let it spin all day? nightmare!
  4. forgot to mention its getting starved of fuel, but no blockages
  5. right guys i have a dt (r?) 125, its water cooled and ive spent close or more than £400 on it getting it running, new pistons, carbs, rings, gaskets etc! It was running mint today, i left it in the garden ticking over and used a full tank of fuel, so thats the rings run it tidy, so today i went out and it was running fine, then towards the end of the day it just went buuurrrghhh and said f-ck off im not going no more! When bumping or trying to kick it over, its popping and backfiring, and im getting fireballs, i suspected headgasket, but no symptons or any sign of water in the wrong places, cleaned carb out as there was not alot of fuel going through but still the same problems, getting a lovley spark! What next?" im close to giving up im at my wits end with it! problems problems problems! thanks alot in advance!
  6. cheers guys i got a new cdi and pick up and stater plater with fly wheel so hope fully she will run now if not get back to you guys cheers
  7. well im not sure mate i took the bike to a bike shop today and they told me that this little black box that has loads of wires coming out of it it goes from magneto into box in coil but no life from this box
  8. hey guys think im looking for a harness as my 1990 dt has no power coming out of ecu but has power before it goes into it any one got one or is there a way around it cheers rob
  9. hi there is there any one who can tell me how to reset my carb i got my bike running but its running sick messed about with carb cos i thought it was out then to find the head was naft all fixed now apart from carb settings thanks for all your help forgot to say its a dtr 125
  10. thanks for all the help i decided to take the head back off looks like they didnt rebore it tidy as the ring twisted and took a big gouge out of the side so not enough compression so got to wait till morning now cos the engineer aint thereso wont be going out on it yet bit gutted but worth the wait
  11. i done that to my bike and now it done start so dont do it unless you know wat you are doing take it to a specalist
  12. any one got a manual for dtr 125 i think round about a 94 or 95 cant get it to run since i replaced the conrod and piston had it reboard dont thing i put it back to gether right think i got the timing right piston at the top then flywheel on all lined up did start wen i put a cap full of petrol down the plug hole not sure weather or not i lined the shaft inside the crank for the fuel pls help aint been on the bike yet and want it running
  13. hey guys was woundering if any one could give some advice i got a yami dtr 125 and had new conrod piston and head rebord i put it all back to gether myself but it wont start first time i tried to start it it started but now it wont im not sure wether or not the timing for the fuel inside is lined up dont know how to do it any one know giss a shout pls
