  1. I bought a brand new full exhaust system for 150cc 2stroke Yamaha when in thailand for about £25 when on holiday this year. I thought bargin! I'm wondering if it will be alright to "attach" the can to my DT125lc? I'll post some pics of it when i can!
  2. Wen on holiday in Thailand, i had a bike with no side stand switch.....if i had one it might have prevented those scary moments trying to go round corners with the stand still down!!   (Amateurs mistake, but for the pro's not a problem no doubt) Funny thinking back, but well dodge at the time!
  3. I've searched up and down! :x :x When i buy these new bolts, i'm going to buy a secure container which will hold any pending screws/nuts/bolts! Its made me angry cus i know i've put them somewhere safe, cus they are so important!!! ARRRRRHHHHH!    :x Spoke to Yamaha, the parts team were particularlly unuseful, have to go in and point to bolts on the micro film! BUT I SHALL PERCEIVER!! This bike will not beat me!!! (Thanks by the way)
  4. interesting, i'll have a look at it and see what shape its in.
  5. got the new disc today, fitted in on with no problems then...... .....when i went to attach the caliper, I CAN'T FIND THE BOLTS!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!    I've put them somewhere safe, but somewhere so safe i cant find them! i should be able to get replacements right? (caliper mount bolts, bleed nipple, and bolts for both ends of the hose!)
  6. After the battery got whacked in everything came together! dash lights, indicators and relay! i'm very happy! thanks everyone
  7. got the battery plugged in and the original relay actually worked! thanks again for everyones help,
  8. cool, i'll let u know after its been whacked in! hopefully it will charge, the shop is quite reliable
  9. cool, i'll whack it in tomorrow morning! thanks
  10. a mate of mine is selling his yammy XT225. he said he'd sell to me for £800! i think its a J reg not sure of millage! i've got a dt125lc at the moment, (havent even ridden  ) what sort of jump it terms of power would an xt offer? would it be worth the upgrade?
  11. thanks mate, but i managed to get hold of another one. ..the thing is the old one may still work, i just need to connect up my battery first! thanks again.
  12. thanks skyline. I just got my battery filled up at a local motor shop, do i need to charge it now, or can i jus whack it in?
  13. ...i hope so! I was jus wondering if there are any other wires that would go to the battery? like a thicker positive? as shown on the dtr in the pic :?:
  14. I've given in and have ordered the disc, should be with me sometime this week hopefully!
  15. Nice one alan, i dont think i'd attempt the MOT without indicators anyways
  16. ....okay maybe its not that bad then  ...still, its another £50 on a bike probably worth very little! Oh well, if i can get it straight i'll be happy, but its unlikely, so it looks like £50!
  17. Ok, so my next step is gonna be connecting the battery. I think there are some cables missing, but i'm not sure, i have the wiring diagram in the haynes so i should be able to get through it.
  18. I got hold of a 12v relay, which has the correct rattings for my bike. Tried it out the other day and......... .....nothing! I'm going to open up the switch and check that all the components are working in there. Does the bike battery need to be connected for the relay to work?
  19. My front disc is slightly bent/warped!  Got it clamped and viced up at the moment praying it will straighten it a little, but it seems a long shot! Discs are so expensive, £50! I have a second hand DTR disc that i'd swap for a DT LC disc!
  20. The FAQs or guides could just be at the top of the list in the workshop forum. So if somebody is having problems about there bike idling, there could be a fixed post that says say "Bike Idling Check List" So if a newbie comes in to ask the idling question, theres already a simple check list they can refer to before they ask the repeated question. Ie Check Lines Overhaul Carb Clean Lines Balance Floats etc But then like Unmutual says if theres no response then why bother! Jus throught it may make people lives a little less frustrating!
  21. I actually agree with all your points. True, but the guides could be used in conjunction with feedback from other members. Thats what i'm semi thinking, I kinda feel that if the same questions are asked over and over again, people are gonna get sick of replying to the messages.
