It seems like ages ago that i passed! (well it was i suppose!) I actually getting a bit bored of the diversion and i'm getting a little hungry for.....MORE!! Thinkin about Thundercats now- just need to get all the money together!

Andy, What sort of top box have u got? and how did u pay for it? I need to get one! Can't be bothered to carry my chain round me like a rack sack!

Its a crazy powertrip knowing that your the quickest thing off the lights! (...other than other bike ofcourse) I feel i can pull up to anything now and have no worries! It brillient i love it! only been riding it less than a week and i'm starting to think.... .."u know what, i'm faster than u, but i don't even need to prove it HA!" Gonna do a little tour of the south coast in late august, should be interesting, really looking forward to it.

I PASSED!! Took my test for my full licence on Wednesday and passed with two minors! Been riding around on the divvy and LOVING IT!! The new braided line is on its way should be with me next week sometime hopefully! Should sort out the spongy brake! Know what u mean about the vibrations, but compared to the DT125 the vibrations are barely noticable! I suppose its the advantage of going from an old two stroke to a modern'ish bike! I've gotten up to 100 is a small blast, but generally i've been riding around like a grandad in 6th gear constantly, its fanstatic soo much torque! Pull at 25mph in 6th gear i was amazed! Havent got a long enough, straight (safe'ish) road to test any sort of speed, and to be honest don't really want to at this stage! 85-90 good enough for me!

Does anybody think that my DT125 braided line would fit my XJ600? Its a long shot.........

I know what you mean, braided hoses are quality. When i went from standard to braided on my DT the difference was amazing! Thats what i was thinking. Go for a relatively cheap, but modern bike ride it around to get a nice bit of experience. Then later move onto something more sporty. This way i'll really appreciate the difference, rather than going straight to something super fast, getting used to it and then wanting more! (....well u always want more but....u know what i mean) not sure whether to sell the DT. What do think would be a reasonable price for it? 1987 DT125LC 10-12k Miles ->Braided Hose-< Everything else standard TAX & MOT till March 06

I think i'll bleed the front brake and put some new fluid in there for the time being and see how that goes. If it doesnt help then i'll upgrade the hose. Upgrade the fork springs? forks bottoming out?

Hi People, Sorry for the poor picture, the Mrs has the digital camera! Rode it for the 1st time today, in my close..........all i can say is WOW! Its the 1st time i've ridden anything more than a 125cc. Its bloody lovely, can't wait to pass my test and start riding it! What ya think?

XJ600S Diversion, P REG, 21k Miles, Excellent Body,Engine Very Smooth, Front Brake a little spongy, Part Service History, Quite pleased! ....All for a grand. Just need to pass my test, give her a good old service and on the road i go! I'll post some pics as soon as i can.

As i'm sick of that damn DT125lc, i've decided enough is enough i need to get a better bike! Been using my car to get to work for the past few weeks and its really painful being stuck in traffic! on the bike it was taking me 25-30mins in hell traffic, by car it takes minimum 50mins! So the theory test is booked, as soon as thats done the test is getting booked. Ideally i'd like it all done in about a month or so. I;ve been thinking at what bike to buy, starting off thinking about getting a sports 400 FZR, CBR or VFR. But then overnight i've decided i think i should get a commuter type. Why??... i dont know?? i think i'm trying to be sensible?? Anyways, im thinking of gettin a XJ600 Diversion as my 1st bike. (the DT doesnt count (..piece of crap!)) I only want to spend about £1000 on one, and there a couple of good examples for that price, 1994 - 1997 with between 10k and 25k on the clock. What is everyones opinion on the XJ600? Thoughts on the jump from 125cc - 600cc? Realistic getting licence and bike in a month or so? Technical Spec? Experience with the bike? Things to look out for? Any advice? Thanks

thanks , wicked idea, but i havent got any of the bits. luckily enough i managed to push the yam dealer into gettin the cable tomorrow, and hopefully a mate with a van will be able to pick up the bike later today. Thanks again for the help.

...a new year but same old bloody bike!!!! I've been absent for awhile as the bike has been quite reasonable to me. However today the BLOODY BIKE was back in full force!! Left for work early, nice sunny day, going down a duel carrage way in the middle lane at about 50-55, all of a sudden the back wheel starts snaking left and right!! I thought the back brakw had seize but no...the back inner tube had burst and i was riding on the rim/tyre!! Luckily enough i managed to get the bike to the side of the road with out coming off. Anyways i managed to get an inner tube and refit it.....bit shaking but back on the road. Then i thought i'd vent some frustrating of the day by going to the gym. As i pull up the BLOODY CUTCH CABLE SNAPS!!! Now my bloody bike is locked up at my bloody gym and i have no bloody transport to get to work!! I AM NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!

Really?? Can i do that with my LC? It has a powervalve.

Main differences:- - LC Exhaust goes out the left hand side, R on the right. - LC Mk3 has drum on back and disc on the front, I think most DTR have discs front and back - LC doesnt stand so tall on the suspension on the R. I think that should be enough, post a pic if you can if your still in doubt.

Supposable, the carb has been clean out......however I didnt clean it out, so until its been cleaned by my hands, lets assume there are a colony of spiders and moths breeding in there! Thanks for the reply. We have a Haynes manual for the bike and it makes a few suggestions about what it could be- i think its just gonna be another trouble shooting mission! Just remembered the bike has a fuel filter, if thats all clogged up with cack its likely to cause some unrest! Thoughts?

My mate got hold of a 1991 Virago XV535. It was standing for a year or two. It starts and idles no problem, changed air filter, spark plugs.....but it just has absolutly no power! any body had anything similiar??

are you sure its a DT125Lc? The dt125lc's have a rear drum brake. The dt125R has a rear caliper. What year is your bike??

I thought that was one of the crappy ones. is it the TZR125R i'd be really wanting? I'm not even sure why i have this sudden interest! It only came on this afternoon!?! I think this last week i've been gettin the feelin......."i think i would like a bit more power??" My LC is alright, it does the job......but........it maxs out at 60mph and the revs peak a bit early. Also it doesnt feel very secure on the road! Might just go and have a look at it maybe have a go if i can. So.... 1. is there much performance difference between a dt125lc mk3 and a Tzr? 2. what are TZR125s like?? (i think i'm getting hungry for another project!! should finish the DT125 really! )
