  1. I have a Dragstar 400 import which when I looked for quotes a few weeks ago was on the data base.

Today I have tried to insure the bike and now it isn't on the insurance companies data base anymore.

I have tried various online quotes with different companies and the same thing is happening.

Can anyone give me any advice and help please as to how I can insure the bike?,

Bennetts quoted £157 with breakdown cover two months ago but now say it isn't on their data base.

    I'm a 57 year old new biker.

Oh, I do as often as I can.  It's just that the instructor describes himself as 'not a biker' so not sure that he'd be happy with me keep nodding back when I'm being trained. :-)

Who is your instructor?,I live near you and mine is also not a biker.

  3. The new rules are now 47bhp which leaves a lot of choice, the 650 is well within that limit.

I just saw a 400 that looks great and maybe that influenced me.

  4. Hi, I'm a new rider and currently taking my A2 licence lessons, I'm 57 years old and like cruisers and understand I will be able to ride the dragstar 650 or 400 which I like both.

My worry is if I go for the 400 how will I be fixed for things like spare parts and extras for example a back rest as the rear mudguard is different with indicators on it.

Would I be safer with the 650 as the 400's are all imports from Japan an may be harder to maintain, forgive me if these questions are a little naïve but this will be my first bike for 40 years and I really don't want to get my leg in cash wise on something unsuitable.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance.
