check wires around coil may be a coil breaking down or could be carboration muck in one carb might be water in tank only suggestion mind you have to be logical either electrical or fuel work out which one then go from there

hi all my name is phil i have a 1993 xj600 diversion s and all was going well until I went to oulton park on sunday the engine seem to run ok but it seem as if something has come loose on the drive side of things it still runs ok no missing but it clunks going through the gears in top it sounds fine any help appreciated thanks

if its getting hot could be to weak on fuel try a different plug richen the mixture also valve clearances could be to tight you seem to know what your doing so I presume you checked them when they were cold phil

good reliable bike there are inclined to bad starting and do have clutch rattle cause by pin at the back of basket replace with 5mm drill bit if needed engine is bullet prove on the whole good i have had mine for two years still strong
