  1. Right after charging battery I tried starting her up but on full throttle she was barley holding out on any revs and not turning over completely so cleaned spark plugs coz they where dirty and made sure timings were lined up correctly still no progress so after all this and chat with my buddy, who knows a lot more about bikes than I do, we decided it seems like compression is low and cylinders are damaged so next weekend will be complete engine strip down to make a full diagnostic of what needs repair/replacing. I'm trying to find new flywheel puller but it's proving difficult does anyone know if my buddy's flywheel puller from his ybr125 will fit my assembly ? Engine rebuild is looking very likely atm almost certainty lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm gonna use tiger seal I've decided coz forget paying out £80 for new manifold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I jb welded the bolt back on last night it's set and in nicely gonna wait for new manifold and see if she's working [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes it is rubber Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I messaged my local dealer to track down part number for me he's gonna get back to me tomo so hopefully can get one tbh I could use a sealant but there are cheap ones out there granted it won't last long but they'll do for now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks buddy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well that answered that problem lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for response cynic I just jb weld the bolt that bent over causing the leak waiting for that to set then gonna see if thts done the job. Fills her up and see if she turns over I'm using 1040 semi synthetic oil to use as means to diagnose the leak and see if she'll start but I was wonder if it's right oil to run on ??? Also u were saying bout the bbk over powering the 125 but this was my though surely if it's a 250 engine sleeved down it has potential to be a 250 or have the potential to handle a bbk.... I get the feeling u have already answered that bit sorry if u have just trying to understand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Heya I own a xvs Dragstar 125 and my carb intake manifold needs replacing got cracks and running lean and fails past 50 so was wondering how easy or difficult would it be to come by a aluminium manifold so I can avoid replacing it again in future ? Also apply same question to any draggie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Someone's had their way with the Thai boys [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for your welcome ! I'm really happy with how supportive and helpful the community has been so far [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. After all this I have learnt a lot never knew exactly how much looking after bikes need, my own ignorance I know but I promise to be a better owner and look after her properly I just hope she forgives me ! Lol thanks for all ur help so far by the way I'm inlove with the community here [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I didn't run it no but I dunno if it was running dry before I broke down, I heard a bbk will be cheaper option to use as means to repair any engine damage. I'm sure the draggie is just a 250 viagro engine sleeved down to 125 is it not? So I could use a bbk to repair cams and valves if they are damaged just need to reset timing on the heads ? I'm not sure if tht would work in no mechanic it's just an idea me and some friends came to based on little infomation we have, would that work if cams were damaged? 14. Yup I know I'm an idiot ! And all of it all the oil was gone, I was doing 50 round country lanes and CRACK chain came off cracked the bolt and neutral switch bike brok down luckily my backend didn't lock up otherwise that would have been game over for me that's wen I noticed the oil leak and a lot of it well it was now empty ! I guess my next question is new engine..... Obviously it's a draggie 125 frame but dimension wise am I limited to what size engine I Can put in there was thinking of getting a 250 or 353 draggie or viagro which ever I can find first. I am now considering scraping the engine and using frame for bobber Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hiya all, I'm sad to report that, due to my ignorance, my 15 year old Dragstar 125 has broke. I've had here for a thousand miles and She's been running lean due to cracks in manifold forcing my to ride full choke so I don't get killed on a12, all this has put too much force through a slack chain which has bent the neutral switch and bent a bolt which caused an oil leak so today is fixing that oil leak charge battery and see if she starts and see if we can diagnose any engine damage from the oil leak. Now, if there is engine damage then I have been told maybe a big bore kit is way to go in terms of repair and upgrade. Thanks to this forum I already found out I need a viagro 125 bbk but I just want your opinions on the way I'm going bout this. I'm also prepared to get new engine in which case i won't stop there I'll just bobber her up. Be nice I'm still sensitive bout her and how she nearly killed me at 50 on country lanes !! Thank you all [emoji110] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
