Welcome. Just remember no one is born with a full bike licence and every member on here has ridden with L plates. You sound like you could be a life long 2 wheel addict and there's now't wrong with that.

Front tyre 120/70-15
Rear tyre 140/70-14
These wheels sizes are 2 inches greater than most older scooters and not much smaller than some 600cc motorcycles. Certainly keeps me feeling safe blackhat250. If we ever meet up your more than welcome to have a ride on my scooter.
Cheers

fabiostar I can assure you will not be disappointed. I had always ridden motorcycles but turned to scooters due to rheumatoid arthritis. Never had so much fun. I opted for a 250 because my daily commute is only 8 miles along dual carriageways for 90% of the journey. Even keeping ahead of the cars I average 80mpg. Room for two helmets under the seat. 2 locking cubby holes under bars. USB and 12v outlets. £68 fully comp. The maxi scooters tend to come with larger dia wheels and handle really well.
The T Max version (500 cc) of my scooter has great write ups. Visit Maxi Muppets web site or Facebook page for some owner reviews. Cheers

As my 14 plate Yamaha 250 X Max is the newest thing I have ever owned I decided to look after her properly as she is main and prefered means of transport. I had read several reviews of protecting your bike from corrosion and winter usage and went with Halo treatment from All Year Biker. Part of the treatment includes a liberal coating of AFC50 which is used in the aviation trade to prevent corrosion on planes and helicopter onboard aircraft carriers. Mark @ Derby was my nearest agent so I visited him and two and a half hours later was utterly amazed with the result. I thought she was clean upon collection from the dealers but Marks professional and passionate work left me with something to be really proud of. He explained every process and gave me confidence that the treatment would last approximately 12 months if I followed his cleaning instructions. Good coffee and he even cleaned my visor before I left. Highly recommended and I will definitely be going back next year.

Best bit of dripping was the thick brown base. Thick white bread and loads of salt

Highly recommended circuit. Nearest comparable UK racing to Isle of Man.

He replaced the drive belt, rollers, and spark plug on my old scooter for £30 labour.Had a call from him to say scooter ready for collection less that 2 hours after dropping it off.
He also recently carried out the 3rd service on my granddaughters scooter for less than half the supplying dealers quote.
Genuine bloke who cares as much about your scooter as you do.
P.s he also offers a recovery service.
Scooters are only a tiny percentage of David's business he is predominantly motorcycle's
