  1. Yeah, I should have payed a lot more attention whilst disassembling instead instead of ripping it all out like a madman. Lesson learned and something that will be avoided In the future...
  2. Pics were taken as I was fixing the clutch. Still got a lot to do it like new plastics and graphics, a better seat and possibly pick up a cheap YZ and donor the forks and swingarm amongst other bits.... Added some direct links beneath the pictures to each one because Im doing this from my phone and don't know if the pictures will come up small and or blurry! Direct Linky Direct Linky Direct Linky
  3. Problem is fixed, I had the pressure plate on wrong.
  4. I have tried this and also ajustments on the lower end of the cable nothing works as I can still freely roll it in gear.
  5. Hi, there was no rubber damper rings, I had put the plates in going in the order of: Friction plate then a metal plate. The second friction plate in was the one plate that was the smallest of the 7
  6. Thanks guys. aha thanks Andrew, thought I would try to give a bit of info about myself instead of the shy hi
  7. Hi, Ok so I replaced the clutch plates in my DT 125R, put it all back together new gasket, oil, new coolant and also a new clutch cable as the old one was frayed. The bike fires up fine ticks over perfect. The clutch mechanism on the engine side lines up with the marking on the casing. The problem is when I put it in gear and let the clutch out it doesn't move just continues to idle and I can do this for every gear and also if the bike is off and I put it in gear there is a tiny bit of resistance but I can push it back and fourth? Thanks in advance for any help.
  8. Well I should have posted in here sooner as I prematurely jumped straight in the workshop for help when I joined a day or two ago... Never good with introductions over the internet aha so here goes. My names Steve I'm 24 from Kingswinford UK and have been riding for roughly 4 years on the road and just a little longer than that off-roading and motorcross. Still on CBT just never had the urge to take the big bike test yet as a 125 gets me about and to work. As far as my bikes go I have been jumping from bike to bike owning 4 strokes and found my way back to 2strokes and currently have a 99 DT125R which I picked up a few months ago (pictures to follow) Well not much else to say so... Hi
  9. Going bad to worse.... I've put the clutch back together, oil ect ect and started the bike up and I now have a new problem. I pull the clutch lever in, select 1st gear (I've tried all of them too), let the clutch out and the bike just stands there it don't move and doesn't cut out just keeps ticking over?
  10. That's great, thanks for your help.
  11. Hello, I am replacing the clutch plates on my DT125 R and I am confused because 1 out of the 7 plates is slightly smaller than the rest. I have looked at my old ones and they too have one smaller than the others. Unfortunately when I had taken the old stack out I failed to make note of what order it goes in and I have been trying to refer to DT125 manual but there is nothing noted on this. https://imageshack.com/i/iqa488daj Picture above shows two out of the seven of my old ones and the plate pictured at the bottom is smaller than the rest of the other 6 plates. So to summarise where in the stack does this smaller plate go? Thanks for your time reading and any help is appreciated.
