  1. On EBAY there is a few complete wire harnes for your bike. 80's and 90's are the same.
  2. If you want some good advice then you need to go here for info......http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/9-yamaha/ I have a 1986 xt350. What year is yours?
  3. Complete rebuild of carb, Second set of carbs that is. New fuel lines, New petcock, New gas, New plug, New filter, New oil. Battery is full charge and it still dies when I'm off road. Was just out in front popping wheelies for my kid and that killed it too. It just loads up and dies. I have to hold the throttle wide open until it clears out. How can two different carbs have the same issues? About ready to pull the Shot Gun out and blast the shit out of it..Can you tell I'm beyond frustrated. Went through the electrical again and could not find any bad or loose connections. All I want to do is ride both dirt and street!! Street is fun but would really like to enjoy some off roading. 1986 XT350. Chris.
  4. Have you cleaned out the carb yet? There is a product they sale here in the states called Seafoam. Try that out. It comes in a spray or poor it in your tank. The best stuff on the market and it wont eat up your carbs.
  5. Just joined and wanted to say hello! Lots of great info here. Chris
  6. I was told NOT to use any kind of synthetic oil in my 86 xt350. Two different yamaha dealership mechanics said the same thing. Systhetic oils will find and seap out the smallest places of your engine. Also it does not last long in older model bikes. I use Spectro 4 stroke oil. Been using the same oil for 27 years. Never has the oil burned up. Last a long time between oil changes. Just my two cents. http://spectro-oils.com/
