    Fork seals

    I put my nsr forks into a garage near me and they charged me £90 fitting genuine honda seals and heavyer oil!

    I didn't think it was cheap but the chap that done em says any problems within the first few months he would do em again for nowt!!

    You could always ask how much to do it if you supply the seals and oil etc and fetch the forks to him off the bike.

    To be totally honest I've never been on wet grass yet but can that be more or less slippy than wet mud?

    Also I've been using them on same psi on and offroad so there pumped up near max psi and they have impressed me, I'm guessing if I drop the psi they will only be better offroad

    Few people have asked me if these tyres are road legal up to now and I'm waiting to be pulled by the filth as they do look like motocross tyres but so far so good!!!

    If and when I come across grass ill have a blast see what I think, and cheers or the feedback :)

    I'm with grouch on this one!!

    I go into work at 6.15am its dark I have me lights on and I still get pulled out on!

    You know when people take a quick glance before pulling out depending on the person but subconsciously there brain is looking for 2 lights or a car in daylight that's why people say they never seen us coming.

    In my opinion its the car drivers that need to be educated in looking for bikes aswell as cars, I have no idea if they have incorporated it into the at test but they should.

    The nsr 125 jc20 I had was the same crack, twin round headlights indipendant of the forks but I never got to use it on the road in dark!

    Nearly all the cornering was banking

    Jesus that little bastard was a flying machine!!!

    dont be so hasty, cant you not unplug the old one and get 2 bits of old wire and attach them to the new led relay make sure it all works before any cutting?

    its not the best to solder anyway can you not buy some of them spade connectors and a crimper get them on there properly?

    well people this is my first go at a review thread so bare with me....

    ive been looking for a decent aggressive dual tyre that i could take off road on weekends aswell as use for work, ive had a couple sets on my little dt up to now from some road avons to Heidenau k60 catspaw's and apart from the road going capabilitys of the avons there was no way of offraoding on them lol so i bought the catspaws and to be fair they where rubbish on anything damp never mind in the rain !!!!!

    i come accross these michelins through a thread on here a while ago and thought i would take the plunge so i ordered the pair at a cost of £110 posted (from ebay)

    i fitted these tyres at a friends house and off i went on the trails so ill get into the nitty and gritty....

    FIRST THOUGHTS

    -tyres look very very impressive, the knobbles seem to be high and well spaced which im guessing is for spinoff so there is no chance of them getting bunged up with dirt loosing you traction on the trails.

    -took me and a pal a few hours to get these tyres on - very very tight fit

    ON THE ROAD

    (first used these tyres on the road in dry condition)

    -i found the tyres a little hard to corner comftable with twitching coming from the rear (ever so slight mind) i still havent got confidence to corner at a decent speed im guessing once the tyre gets worn to my riding style i might be able to push them a little more.

    -there is alot of noise from them which is more notacble under engine braking but even more so on hevy braking

    -ive never felt the front tyre twitching while banking into the corners but im guessing this is due to the tyre's knobbles being more tightly packed

    -they do seem to have a little pull into creases while riding along on the straights not to much (ive felt worse)

    OFFROAD

    -as soon as i got on the dirty stuff i knew these are the tyres for me, from the off the grip from wet soil to gravel was perfect going through a series of puddles you could just about swim in to a stretch of clay like soil with ease.

    -braking was good being able to use the front brake unlike with the catspaw so when the rear does lock up in the dirt you can use the front i just used light pumping action (but be gentle there not gonna stop you dead in the dirt)

    -climbing up a hill you wouldnt like to walk up in the rain was fun with plenty of grip even with the rear wheel flicking some dirt up in me pals face on his quad (revenge)

    -although the tyres are decent offroad in all conditions (dry and wet) i did come across some snow which i treated like dirt and she spat me off, front end went for a walk in different direction

    i would rate these tyres

    on the road as 5/10

    offroad 8.5/10

    there not too bad on the road not bad enough to void them, i guess the more aggresive offroad a tyre gets the less they will be a road tyre - on the road they are ok but offroad there top notch and i dont regret buying them and would recomend them to any green lainer

    here they are on my little dt125r - minus exhaust for cleaning purpose

    spoils riding a bike though doesnt it, the ability to relax while you are cruising along at even 30mph - im still a novice and havent many hours on the road but i have had an lorry pull out on me while i was doing 50mph did he fuck stop i was snaking as the rear whell locked up and pumping the front brake gently

    also 4 or 5 cars atleast......

    sometimes i drop off the revs and cover me brake when i can see a car waiting to pull out.

    the old man has been riding for years on his old ducati 860gts and some woman pulled out on him on a roundabout - lost half a finger and gravel rash

    never underestimate the retards with a car

    friend of mine has a xt660, smooth as you like to ride although i do belive there fueling system is poor - he is on about fettling it with some after market part cant remeber off hand but its supposed to smooth it out.

    only problem he has had with his is the front fork seals.......

    ive been on his and it does pull well and very comftable, bin the cans there huge and ugly get some decnt after market ones

    Think yourself lucky young lad at graft on his knackered ped got over taken by a well kitted up man on a racer peddle bike!!

    Honesty I was laughing in his face so hard he had to go wash my spit off his face lol
