hi fellows blackhat is almost right, also the smaller rear sprocket, the stock exhaust back yz 80 muffler air cleaner no lid or snorkel
needle raised. when i took it to the track last wasnt running properly picked up 6 tenths & 10 mph thats a lot of horse power
with the small sprocket its hard to 60 foot , with the bigger sprocket ive had 1.895 60 & 17.6 with the small 1 best 2.31.
u do the sums easy run 16s,

thanks fellows she goes good, is it modded ? well a hayabusa with a good rider 10.2s is is good 10.1s is excellent 9.0 has to be modded. only the motor the rest is stock, lowered & strapped.

Wow allmotor, you got it to 110.9kph in 6th gear on a highway? that equates to 69 mph here, my DT does nowhere near that, but then again it's just a 125. well a 135 really, with with full powered powervalve and servo, full DEP exhaust system, 32mm Mikuni carb,unrestricted CDI, and yellow power band.
hi nev got some more out of it tonight 17.1@ 77.67 mph i think i can get more.

hi fellows just got back from the drags on my 1980 dt175 got a few pbs
best of 17.197 @77.67 mph 124.98 ks not bad 32 years young.

Hi mate have a look in the vid sec what i did to my 1 dt175 1980 enduro.Hi... new to the forum. have a 78 dt175. 2500 miles runs great. I am, just wondering if there are any good performance improvements to try. Right now the bike will run about 65 mph. With my 230 lb on it.
Engine is turning about 7500 rpm at that speed.
Any carb or exhaust options still available for these bikes.

since i raced at the track i lifted needle to its highest point took that air cleaner lid of & it really came alive.
probably run a 16 now easy that would upset a lot of people

hi cynic on the road feels like old mxr but pulls hard from 5.500 to 9.500 sounds amazing on the road all gears 1st goes over 10.000 gs
easily& maibe second,before it cleans up goes 85 to 9o ks before that sound like mxr just before coming on pipe u know what i mean?
about the pipe yes thats where power comes from the straighter the better the less bends better & the air cleaner lid hell of a difference in sound responce couple of thing conbined to work together that where its at, best of all if u got a f d up exaust round those bends u can save your pipe this way & get a better bike at the same time

this my $100 dt which took me 4 hours to unblock the fuel tap after poking it clr clear after about 4 hours i started to trickle the rest is great result the mod on the exaust works great the air cleaner cover off it also improved it a lot .it can not breathe properly through that tiny snorkell they got needle in the carby at highest spot. it likes fuel 4 9.500 rpm.

hi eveyone well just got back fro a test &tune meet took the busa out 4 the first time in 1 year just to get my feet wet on it 4 a long time ,
first run 9.23 @158. mph with a shit 60 foot 1.836 2nd run 1.62 60 foot 9.08 @ 157 mph missed the thid to fourth change tha t should hav been my first 8 sec pass.oh well,i didndt only wet my feet first go i think i soeked them lol.illsee if i can get 9s on my 750 on wed.

hi fellows hows things well i took the amazing dt on a freeway last night i got bycicle computer on it its very accurate the timeslip said 109.1 ks the computer 109.3 thats close. anyway i max it out last night according to computer 110.9 ks an hour maybe 8.5000 or 9 grand top gear. needed a whole lane anyway thats real fast with three mods.

hi fellows thanks replies & welcome the dt i took the 2 90 degree bends of the chamber so primary pipe is shorter, i up the front sprocket & the biggest gain was getting ri air cleaner after that it pulls to 9.500 in 5th gear its good fun.pretty popular at the track when i can do 2.1 60f footters on a 175 as good as any one.on biigger bikes a smartie came upo to me &said u will be in top gear by the 60 foot .i said becarefull mate it does 2.1 60s, he was on a busa. which i did beat to the 60.lol.

hello from aus, name is wally & i just got 1980 dt 175 on the road & another getting built as a sort of chopper,anyways about the fast 175 question i took it to the drags tonight,& did well 4 a 175 32 years old.
i got 17.75@ 67.82mph with a bad 60foot 59.84 mph in 200 metres. has anyone run theirs.u think its good 4 a 175?
...whats the chances?
