  1. after many ball bearings later i have got the right one. Cant find out which size because theres no indication between the multitude of ball bearings i got. If anyone needs one i have em all lol.

So i install my new clutch plates well oiled up and the mighty ball bearing and still theres no resistance in my clutch lever. Is it necessary to refill the oil to have resistance?

I would rather not do this in the case that i have to empty it all out again.

  2. I took all my electrics off the bike to do maintenance and cleaning and now everything is back together.

The headlight and sidelight is not working.

    Everything else works fine.

The battery for the bike doesn't charge but it will charge enough to run full power for 20 mins or so could this be the reason the head light/side light aren't powering up.

I don't think it is wiring problem.

More than likely the bulbs are gone could i test by using rear bulb for headlight i'm guessing its a bad idea but let me know.

    Cheers for help

  3. get some help

a mate doing the nipple and tube in a jar bit

pull the lever gently until thes resistance and keep gentle pressure on

mate undoes the nipple, the lever pulls to the handlebar...keep it there

    mate tightens the nipple

    let the lever out fully

REPEAT until no bubbles in tube...keep level topped up

Have just bleed it fully good 10 times. No bubbles what so ever. Still no pressure in the brake lever.

I don't think the drums are pushing against the disc at all as there is good bit of play in the brakes.

I have just taken brakes off and the disc and pads out and there is no movement in the drums at all. I did take the drums out is there something i could have done wrong?

  4. cheers for tips airhead will give that a shot in the morning. i tried doing exactly what you said even watched a couple videos on youtube on it but didn't feel any pressure from beginning to end.

I think my problem is that i dont have a hose pipe big enough for fitting to the nipple. I take it trying this is pointless without a hose pipe.

Will be down town tomorrow looking for a hose pipe.

  5. I can't see any obvious way of putting the plain plates on in a right method. Haynes just states to put the friction then normal then friction etc.

I have the clutch plates out and am not sure where i went wrong

Could it be that i have lost the ball bearing that goes in front of the pushrod which is connected to the pressure plate?

  6. Hi

I recently emptied my engine oil for a refill and also put in a new set of clutch plates.

Now i have everything back together.

No engine oil is in it. would this be the reason for my clutch lever to have no force/resistance in it?

If i refill the oil would the clutch lever comes back to life?

Cheers in advance for the help!

  7. Just bought myself a Yamaha XT125X Supermoto '07 for £220 needs few bits and bobs but overall drives well and looks the job sincei have cleaned/polished her.

Also needs taxed and mot'd shouldn't be a problem, once i have completed my CBT and have the bike fully cleaned and serviced myself (including have the whole bike taken apart and put back together).

    The bike itself needs new:

    Chain and sprockets

speedo cable (as expected with this bike)

    Preferably new clutch plates

    new battery

    10w 40 oil

    oil filter

Maybe put a new exhaust on just for looks as it is only rusty looking part on the bike.

Previous bike was a 125cc loncin pitbike.
