hello everyone, new to the site so hello to you all, im an aussie living smack bam in the middle of AUS,surrounded by desert perfect place for riding, i use to ride alot until falling off and injuring my back at a young age , and only now 6 years later getting back on a bike (yz125), which happens to be my first yami, bikes i previously owned are kx85, kx250, as a young falla my old man did alot of the work on my bike so very interested in learning tips and tricks of maintenance, i love having a rum and a good chat/ time, so feel free to say hello at any time,

hey everyone i recently purchased a yz125/05 model, ive owned bikes in past but never maintained them ( old man use to do it for me when younger) havent been on bikes for years nd now have this one to start back at it. but have only a small knowlege of maintenance . the bike has been sitting for a while, exhaust was rusted so i took it off and removed the rust and gave it a coat of black heat resistant engine paint. chain and small sprocket are rusted, nd ive heard if changing chain better of chainging both sprockets also. but have no idea on how to do this. watched videos and they all miss little details that confuse me., she runs (was the main condition of me buying it) and have taken her on a short easy ride and i was told shes had her top end rebuilt a few hours ago. anythin else i should be looking for ona bike thats been sitting and what i should do after a bikes been sitting? *anywere i should grease?nd if so with what and how do i do it, *should i be cleaning out my carbi? if so how ? *when changing chain should i cut it to same length as existing or should i shorten it by a link to allow for stretching? * ive seen in videos people adjusting something on each side of the swingarm when changing chain and reinstalling tyre? not sure as to what.? * what intervals for oil changes? and how do i know when to? *any general shock care? or maintenaince and how so if any? pretty much need to know anything and everything to keep my bike running at a high level. i have OCD so perfection is a big deal for me and its annoying me not being able to find out exactly what i need to do. sorry if i seem like an idiot but we all have to start somewere, and id rather learn it all the right way. so even if you ahve things you dont think u should post cause there obvious things. please post anyway as i may not know those either lol. thanks in advance
