Hi Z - from a fellow Aussie. I'm keen to learn more about the XJ6N as its top on my list of upgrades from my scooter. I'm primarily a commuter and am very interested in the configuration of the XJ6N as compared to, say, the FZ6N. Can you comment on the torque and low down power of the XJ6N? I am sure it would be a blast as compared to my 150cc scooter!! Where do you ride it - city commuting, country miles, twisties? cheers

Hi all, I'm a recent Australian rider who's been riding for a year now and just clocked over 10,000 kms on my TGB 101R 150cc scooter. I commute 50 kms per day from the outer suburbs of Melbourne Victoria to the inner city. While the scooter has been a fantastic learning experience, I'm really keen to upgrade to something that gives me more options in terms of freeway use. The scooter will do 110 kph but its at its total limit. At that speed the brakes, suspension and motor are all working 110%. I've been looking around for the next ride since I started a year ago. I knew that there was a motorbike rider inside me somewhere! I ride the wheels off the scoot and filter and split through the traffic snarls with ease. I am looking forward to something with decent brakes and suspension, something that you become part of rather than sit on. People who have ridden both scooters and bikes know the difference. I have had some bike experience when going for my license and loved it. So positive and engaged with the machine!!! I am looking at a XJ6N or perhaps a FZ6N and would welcome your advice. I understand the differences between the bikes but have not ridden either as I am still restricted to bikes of lower power/weight ratio. I will have to wait till March 2013 before I can test unrestricted versions of either of them. I am first and foremost a commuter in peak hour traffic. I do have the option of freeway or arterial roads and am stuck with clogged arterials with the limiations of the scooter (though it filters like a dream which is a hoot). I expect I'd change to the 100 kph freeway with the 600. Which one would you recommend? I do like the idea of the low down power of the XJ6N but the FZ6N has a lighter frame and more top end. Either one would be a blast as compared to the TGB! Decisons, decisons! cheers
