  1. Has anyone ever experienced a mis/backfire and done all the usual, carb clean, replace plug, etc, but nothing changed, the fault was still there. I have read in some forums, of this, and the fault turned out to be the CDI unit. Could this be true and if so any ideas of where its best to look for a CDI for an M plate SR 125 unit. My unit is an early model with 2 * 4 way connectors. The ones I see on e-bay are 1 * 6 & 1 * 2 way connectors. Any help greatly apprciated. Thanks
  2. I recently done an oil change and I have managed to damage the thread that the Allen bolt from the oil chamber screws into. I have as a quick fix, do the PTFE mend, which seems to hold, but I think it's best to replace. I have a 95 (M) plate and seen quite a few replacement cases for sale on eBay, but none of them are from that year. Do I need to wait until a 95 clutch case becomes available or will anyone from any year do the job. Thanks in anticipation
  3. Guys, Trying to track down the relay that's used in conjunction with the starter solenoid on an m plate sr 125. Mine states 12R 01 omron 21z406. Any ideas where I can get theses Thanks
  4. Hello, I have just purchased a 1995 yamaha sr 125 as a project. i knew when i bought it there was an issue with the fact it starts and ticks over, but as soon as you ride it within 5 mins, it starts to loose power. i purchased it at a very good rate from a garage, who say, that given time and lots more of my money for looking at it, they could solve it, however id rather have a go myself. They say, they think its electrical, as the starter swicth on the right side and the horn on the left side have been bypassed and replaced with a couple of ugly buttons on the handle bars. My plan is to put the bike back to its orginal spec, but I am wondering if there are any points as towards where its best to look, such as coil, cdi (ECU) if this has happned to anyone else, to resolve the loss of power Heres hoping... Thanks
