  1. You can order online from HERE Nice choice of bike, I have just added another to my collection. Adam.
  2. I dont have a divi but I am currently running Conti Road attacks and find them excellent. Adam.
  3. Its possible that you have excessive crankcase pressure, thats forced the oil in to the generator. There could be a number of causes for this but the most common is broken piston rings/ damaged piston. Do a compression check this should rule this in/out. Adam.
  4. I hope to make it, guess what Ill be on ? Adam.

    MY BIKE

Cheers lads The Exhausts were first XJR standard pipes but have now fitted Scorpion pipes. The Swing arm is a JMC custom made and the rear wheel is from a Suzi GSXR 1100. Also front wheel from a FZR Thousand. Handles much better now ! Adam.
  6. Hi Lars Yes I have totaly re-built my FJ. The Clymer manual states that these bolts have to be torqued to 48nm, but I would advise caution here. When I striped my frame I found that 3 of the 4 bolts you describe had sheared due to vibration, I had mine drilled and re-taped oversize. Its very important to keep the carbs set up correctly (Balanced) as poorly balanced carbs will cause excessive vibes. Hope this helps Adam
  7. ???? Sorry dont understand. Adam.
  8. Hi Jimmy Yes I would try shorting the starter switch, as above. Adam.
  9. Try the main earth strap thats bolted to the rear of the engine just in front of the swing arm. Adam.
  10. I very much suspect that you need to get your Carbs set-up & Balanced. Adam.
  11. Hi Sounds very much like a poor earth connection, find where the earth strap from the -ve connection on battery goes to the engine. Remove and clean & grease connections. Adam.
  12. Hi Nice bike ! If you take a look HERE you will find a lot of usefull info on screens for the Fjr, there are even a few aussie members (ooh err) Adam.

  14. Sorry mate cant help but I am sure somebody here can, just follow this link http://www.exup1000.co.uk/phpBB2/ Adam.
  15. Its deffo not a timing issue if it runs ok for 20mins, I would suspect that it's a fueling issue either the carbs need a good clean or the fuel filter (Under Tank) is dirty. It could also be a faulty fuel pump relay or faulty fuel switch , but I would check carbs and filter first. Adam.
  16. Sorry to to dissapoint you ws6transam but she handles like a dream and gives most sports bikes a run for there money on the twistys. Just dont like grinding me pipes away as they cost me dear !! Adam.
  17. Yes fraid so, pay up ! Adam.
  18. Hi Phil Not to sure how to answer you question but if you log on here:- http://www.fjfjrbiker.co.uk/fj_forum/ these good peeps will put you straight. Adam.
  19. Optimate charger, have a look on ebay. Adam.
  20. Just add it equally to all cells , charge for 24hrs and bob's your uncle. Adam.
  21. Sounds very much like your chain is U/S the squeak you here when the chain is tight is the rubber cush drive inside the rear sprocket carrier. As the wheel is not standard, check that the chain is aligned proper, you can purchase a laser aligner for about £25. Adam.
  22. Deffo use mineral oil, if you use synthetic or semi synthetic you will get clutch slip as the FJ runs a wet clutch and synthetics are too slippery, if that makes sense. I don't know were abouts you are but the FJ owners recomend Morris Ringfree, look here http://www.fjclub.co.uk/ Adam.
  23. Yes it's deffo the clutch slave seals, very easy to replace. Once you have removed the clutch slave housing pump out the slave and remove seals, give it a good clean up with a scotchbrite pad and fit new seals. The hardest part is bleeding the system once replaced. have alook here http://www.yamahaxjrownersclub.com/phpBB3/index.php There are pics on how to do it on this site. Adam.
  24. What bike ? If it,s a hydraulic clutch and it,s leaking around the clutch housing it,s probably the slave seals shot. Adam.
  25. Try here http://www.fjfjrbiker.co.uk/fj_forum/ lots of helpfull people they will be able to tell you. Adam.
