It's true I am, and the sad thing is my dad is very practical and can fix almost anything to washers to laptops. I did not inherit his skills.

what makes britain great ...........................
in a word nothing
we are overtaxed underpaid with a government that cares more about other countries than our own
polititians that are corrupt
a police force who think they are above the law
just my 2c
-
open up the switch and bridge it out
done that with mine when it played up
-
is the bike just going loose as you go through neutral??
as for shifting up without the clutch pretty normal stuff for a seasoned rider lol

But recent tests have shown that in a graphics heavy environment such as gaming, video editing etc, that windows 8 actually preforms worse than windows 7.
very true i noticed that with windows 8 framerate is slower when gaming
but i must say windows 8 is not for me i'll be staying with windows 7 ultimate for now

take care foamy

seals oils filters time and labour

g'day mate

Cheers Drewps
He likes riding and I do his maintenance. The virago would be a lot better for him re maintenance, he doesn't even adjust his chain (my fault I know, too soft), but I think the old Yam is a far better bike.
Heres one on fleabay at the moment
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-xs-650-SE-/281049430729?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item416fd9fac9
i know this wont sound nice but the intention is good
but would'nt it be best to let him make the choice and for you to stop doing his maintenance
let him ride his choice till it breaks because he has'nt maintened it then help him with advice to fix the problems when they come
that way he will learn the hard way why we maintain our bikes and it will maybe learn him the values of riding
my pops was fed up repairing my bikes and i didnt give a toss if anything happened coz i knew he would fix it
untill one day he could'nt do it anymore
i learned the hard way to fix bikes and to appreciate what my pop did more!!!

as task has quite rightly said(probably thorough experience)
the draggie will spin incredibly easy
the advise i would give is if the weather is that bad you might think it risky DONT PICK IT UP
tell the garage its impossible to ride and they should keep it for you after all an injured customer is no good to them
good luck and ride safe
-
you need to learn how to pack
this is sadly the last pic taken of my draggie before our accident
in that 1 bag at the back was
two man tent
2 sleeping rolls
2 sleeping bags
missus make up and shit(trust me that was heavy lol)
waterproof trousers
jeans 2 pair
and two t shirts
all we could get in the saddle bags was two leather jackets
the art of camping on a bike is loading the thing look at the space you got left under the rear rack another good size bag will go there
look at your forks empty!!! screaming out for a tent or a bag
if you must have saddle bags and cant get what you want then draw up a design with sizes of waht you want or better still take your bike to a metal worker and get them made to measure(its not as expensive as you might think)
trust me a draggie is not as big as you think when it starts getting loaded

try around the 2500-3000 mark

haha excellent

Join the T.A. and get a licence for everything at 18.
that you cant use on the public roads unless its on army duty
as for the licence if they change the bike tests
then why not change the car test to include motorcycle awareness ie make them ride a bike for a while before going for a test in the car
maybe that WOULD save some lives

But you *can* feed cat food to your dog...
