  3. cmoore35, Hi I am Peter and I live in Portsmouth. I used to mess about with bikes but I need something that is releable so now leave it with a very good mechanic. I wish you well with your project and I hope you learn a lot. Remember that things will go wrong and it will not be easy. During one of these moments don't throw or hit the bike just say ten times 'I will ride you baby'. You should smile, feel a lot better and it will renew your passion. All the best, Peter
  4. Hi Ghostrider, sorry I don't. Welcome, I am new and hope to get more involved with other fellow riders. Enjoy and ride safely, Peter (from Portsmouth , UK)
  5. Hi Sluffy, I am new, starting to use the forums and they are all a good bunch. With three days off work, I feel great. Enjoy and drive safely, Peter
  6. Toutsuite, Hi I have a FJR1300 with fitted heated hand grips. I also have reynalds (poor blood supply in the hands and feet) so I am paranoid about keeping warm. I agree with you that hand grips keep your grip very hot but the back of your hand is freezing. I have inner gloves, the glove and now a mit for the outside (I decided against the tent!). I will see how this all goes but if I can't cope I will get heated gloves. I have been told that these are realy good. I do over 500 miles a week commuting to work and I would like some feeling in my fingures when I hit the London traffic. Good luck and enjoy, Peter
  7. Blackhat250, I hope the weather is good for you, I always look at the weather and wish Scotland had at least a few days of sunshine this year. You are traveling a long way so keep it safe. I had a Triumph Trident many moons ago and loved the beast and was sad when I sold it. I wish you well, Peter
