  2. Yeah, but has he got a Dragstar..... I nearly have :-)
  3. Have you considered running off with trailer on bike.... dont get wed, live on the road (who needs a chick with mates here) LOL Pan's are nice looking bikes though, and reviews seem great, better mileage (well bigger tank capacity) and cheaper than stars. But a star is a dream for me :-) I'm in child mode now :-)
  4. Thanks guys I was even looking at a Honda Pan Euro, but as a cruiser has always been my aim, and a Star for a long time, Im glad your feedback is as it is. Just got get one now :-)
  5. Yeah, see what you mean, I have looked at both classic and custom and to be honest the classic is my fave, bit of shiny stuff and the front wheel looks chunkier :-)
  6. I am still looking for my first bike (650 or 1000) and now moving house so need a bike for daily use really. I see a lot that have never seen rain, but does anyone use these bikes for daily commute and if so, are they still a good buy for city center driving etc. Maybe I should buy an older model Star so not too worried about dirt, salt, rain etc Or do I need to be looking at an alternative bike? Thanks
  7. Thanks Joe, Yeah thats pretty much the idea I had, no real fix on time, sat nav on my bike (because I'd be riding round in the same circle without it), stopping were looks nice or when had enough riding, If i fancy a shower, then its a B&B / Hostel etc, otherwise its the tent.
  8. Thanks Pat Hope you get there, I still have to get my first bike yet :-)
  9. The 9 day trip sounds good. I was thinking of just shooting off and leaving the world behind for a month .. perhaps thats too long. I have plenty of time to plan :-) Thanks again Dirty
  10. Thanks Dirty What is a hostel card? Im off to Google
  11. Hello all Still havent got my Dragstar yet but its still going to happen. I have always fancied doing the roadtrip thing and am thinking of taking a month out next summer and going I'm thinking of France / Spain but am open to suggestions. I have no bikey mates so have no idea what I should do in terms of places to stay (tent/hostel etc) Has anyone done this, what do i need to think about? Ok, I know its 12 months away but Coronation St is on :-)
  12. Hummmmm I may be needing one of those as well then, Has she got a sister :-))
  13. Thanks a lot, I need to go and see some for myself 5 Bags of flower ?? :-)
  14. Im still pondering the purchase of my first bike. I will need to carry around with me my university work (laptop couple of books) and my gym gear I was going to have some panniers to carry this stuff and without getting off my ass to go to a shop and see how big these things are, Im wondering how much you can get into these bags. I have also seen a site that sells canvas types that seem bigger, What do you guys use and how much do you get in them Thanks
  15. Love them, No sissy bar for me though :-)
  16. Thanks Pat I wont be going too far on mine either and the 60mph woud be enough even on the motorway I guess. I dont like the look of the screen really. The Classic is the one I want also, More chrome and it seems the front wheel is fatter (which I think looks better) I'm still looking around, but I may wait a little while and buy towards the end of the summer. I have stuff I need to do and a new bike will mean I wont do it :-)
  17. While thinking about my first bike, I am leaning towards a 1000 (ish) I was looking at Dragstars but I like the look of the Midnightstars also What is the difference between these, is it just engine sizes, or is it size of bike etc I guess I need to go and play in a bike shop and sit on them Thanks
  18. When you say steals it from me ... You mean asks for it back :-)
  19. Thanks everyone again for the help I would prefare a 1100 but the prices seem a little out of reach for now so may be the 650 I have found an auction that is selling to wooden, yes 'wooden' Harleys, they seem to be promo items and look great :-) http://cav.auctionview.co.uk/StockDetail.asp?Registration=WOOD2&QueryStockIndex=42&RecCount=70&Selection=%2FQueryStock.asp&image=1&Sale=163356
