Ok thanks, I have a Yamaha Rack already, will a Givi box fit this or should I have bought the Givi rack?
-
Hi,
I'm looking for a top box/case for my XJ6, I already have the rack, but I don't really want to pay yamaha prices for a box as it won't get used very often.
I have found http://www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk/givi-topbox-rack-for-yamaha-xj6a-and-diversion-09-p-20026.html , but just wondered if anyone else had fitted a non-yam one and if so who's make and how much?
All advice appreciated as always.

Yep found it, was quite well hidden, but managed to get the armour out, I shall order that suggestion, thanks all!

Haha, cheers for the responses guys.
I don't think i can take the armour out of it, I will check though.

Hi All,
Not sure how others do (if at all) but wanted some advice on how to clean my jacket. It has some white areas on it and it's beginning to look a bit tatty!
Any advice on how to wash or clean these much appreciated...
Rgds

Just doing this myself, thought I had cocked up the wiring earlier but it's all good. Will post a pic when done.

Filled it up, started her up, let her tick over for 5 mins, let her cool down, topped her up as it has dragged some through the pipes. Seemed to be running a little warmer but maybe cos it was just on tickover in my garage....

She's on, just need to add the new mix

Here's a pic of my XJ6 with the goodies I got for xmas, (I haven't fitted radiator cover or tail tidy yet)
Added parts:

Hugger
Centre Stand
Tank Pad

Will do. Thanks

Ok. I'll use distilled then as I live in an area with chalky water.
Thanks guys

Hi,
I got a radiator cover for my XJ6 for xmas. In order to change it I have to disconnect and drain radiator.
Just want to know before I do this if bikes need any specific anti-freeze/coolant, or whether I can just use the pre-mixed stuff from halfords etc.
Thanks in advance.

Here is my XJ6 with a rack fitted to it. Genuinge yamaha one. Anyone got any ideas/know what 3rd party boxes fit these as don't really want to pay yamaha prices again.
Any comments welcome...

Thanks for the replies. I do like your tail tidy, thinking of doing the same actually as it sticks out like a sore thumb at moment..

Just thought I'd post a Pic up of my XJ6N that I picked up on Fri (it was raining at the time so had to give it a quick clean)
Let me know any thoughts or improvements..

Hi All,
Just got my XJ6 this weekend and I love it, so far put just over 100 miles on it, but wanted some advice as to how "by the book" i should keep to the 5800rpm until it's done 600 miles?
Any advice much appreciated
Cheers
