Hi Nick can you tell me how old is the bike, what mileage is on it, when it runs is there any more white or blue smoke than normal and have you tried changing the spark plug as often this can cause problems with no forewarning.

thanks for the reply The carb was cleaned out because whoever I had bought the bike off had fitted some cheap pipe to the fuel system which perished and was breaking up internally. I will check that nothing is bent over the weekend but i had a clean work space on the table much to my wifes displeasure. What is the best way to check the floats to see if they have lost buoyancy and if they have will altering the arm that works the needle cure this. Sorry if the questions seem daft but never done much with carbs before, normaly just leave them alone if they working.

Hi all Am looking form a little bit of help and advice. I have a TZR 125 2RK with a mikuni carb fitted. I have cleaned the carb out and set it according to the Haynes manual. When I fitted it back to the bike it was fine untill I had given the bike a run and then the float stuck and it leaked petrol every where from the float chamber overflow. I then tried a second carb that had been removed from a spare frame. This gave me the same problem. If I tap the float chamber then the leak stops but I don't think that both of the carbs are likely to have faulty needle valves. Has anyone else had similar problems and if so could you suggest anything for me to try. Thanks Terry

Hi all Just doing up a TZR 125 on an E plate. Frm the pictures I have found these bikes were sold without the full fairing set by the dealers, I was trying to find any photos showing a black bike so I can get the correct decal set for this model. Wondering if any one can help. Thanks in advance Telstar

Hi all New to this site. Just got most of a TZR 125 from my son for the large sum of £100. OK so it is currently in many bits in the back garden but the frame is reasonable and the engine fired up even though it had been sitting for a couple of years. Have lifted the head and freed off the piston rings. Just need some decent weather in sunny Scotland to try and tidy it up. Can't wait to get it together and give it a run. Have spent alot of time reading through the forums and alot has been said about the YPVS system fitted to these bikes, is there any great gain in altering this if the bike is just to be used for commuting? Look forward to speaking to you all soon and when I get a chance will put up some pictures of bike and then keep you all posred about my progress or lack of it dependant on the weather.
