  1. Thanks for so many answers folks...was it a collective bad hair day for you, were you baffled by the word 'generic'...or were you amazingly perhaps abducted by Honda riding aliens at the time?
  2. Was the rear brake calipur on a -in my case- 96' XTZ660 Tenere in any way 'generic' at the time...as in was the same rear calipur used on other Yamaha models besides the Tenere. I ask because a list of alternative machines supporting the same spec calipur would be good to provide breakers with....as just one reply from an alleged 200 of them for a XTZ660 rear calipur isn't exactly what I would consider to be a successful result so far (and the one result I did receive later informed me that they'd already sold it!!) I would greatly appreciate any input on this technical request folks, as m'dog is currently grounded as a result of a seriously mullered bleed nipple The Archaeologist.
  3. For a technologically retarded old fart like me this looks far too complex a situation (not to mention the languqage barrier etc) for me dude. I'm going to chance my arm on other more specific -help- pages on this forum and see what comes up (pages I didn't notice when joining last night!) I appreciate your reply though The Archaeologist
  4. This is an option, but i've noticed tonight that there are specific sites on this forum for requests like mine so I'll re-post there and see what gives. Thanks for your reply though The Archaeologist.
  5. Yo, I'm currently running a 96' XTZ 66O Tenere and during a brake overhaul managed to snap off the rear brake calipur bleed nipple (don't even go there, It's back enough that I did it!!) I'm currently searching for a second hand replacement as my attempts to drill/ release/free and remove the remaining stub didn't work and have consequently screwed the calipur and left me with no options but to find a replacement. Can anyone help/point me towards a decent second-hand replacement and thus get the tired and cantankerous old dog (the bike, not me) back on the highway? Regards, The archaeologist.
